This charming doughnut and ice cream shop is not only spotlessly clean but also boasts some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. The owners themselves greeted us warmly, ensuring that everything was perfect, and even offered us a delightful sample! The apple pie sundae we tried was out of this world. The combination of fresh doughnuts and the creamiest, most delicious ice cream left us speechless. Normally, I'm not a fan of scooped ice cream, but this was softer and more flavorful than any soft serve I've had. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Guyer's Doughnuts. You won't regret it! Five stars all the way!”

From the salads the appetizers, the crispy Duck, the Rib Eye Steak even the Macaroni Chicken Cheese dish all were superb. “The oxtails were absolutely incredible, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the rice paired perfectly with the rich gravy, and even the vegetables were well seasoned. The Wild Berry Pomegranate Punch was the perfect refreshing addition to the meal.(and I don’t even like pomegranate) Everything tasted homemade and made with care. Portions were generous, the food was fresh, and every bite was delicious. A special note: my grandmother owned restaurants her entire life before she passed away, and she was incredibly particular about good food. She used to send me every week to pick up Southern Palate’s meatloaf because it was one of her absolute favorites. That alone says a lot about the quality and consistency of the food here. Definitely one of the best soul food meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ll absolutely be ordering again! ❤️🍽️🥘🥰”

“This review is about our catered luncheon for our ladies group. We were so impressed with our meal on Tuesday. The pork loin with the cherry reduction was tender and full of flavor. The lemon chicken was also delicious and was a welcome addition to the basic chicken breast normally served at luncheons. The mini potatoes were perfect to turn into salt potatoes. We added some butter and salt. The green beans I am told were yummy . Thank you so much for making our luncheon special!”

Beautiful setup that looks small but feels spacious when you walk in. Very comfortable environment that’s decorated nicely. My table all enjoyed different plates. I got the Trooper. Delicious, home made biscuits and gravy, hash browns that were cooked crispy the way they should, scrambled eggs and bacon. It was cooked to perfection. The other meals had the same round of applause from my friends. Looking forward to trying their Chef’s Table dinner on Friday nights and to catch lunch one of these days. If you’re an east sider, we have great options, but this place is worth the drive! Thank you Sally for the wonderful customer service and ever full cup of coffee and thank you Mike for the wonderful food. Great team, great restaurant!”
