“I remember when they built this small row of shops back in 1974 and this place open as a golf shop back then in 74'. Never eaten here since we moved away in 1979 but looking at the subs their making, I'm sure some real great subs. Miami has had some really great neighborhood sub joints as far back as the late 1950's. A lot of cities aren't as lucky because their dominated by chain sub shops which mostly suck even when the subs are getting really pricey like Jersey Mike's as an example, support your neighborhood joints before you lose them, and they become only a happy memory of when you were young.“

However, I have to be honest and give this sub shop a 4 star. My only recommendation for this shop is to work on cross contamination. The person making sandwiches was also using the credit card machines with the same gloves. Numerous clients touch that machine each day. I would like to recommend implementing measures to address cross-contamination concerns. It would be beneficial to designate specific roles for cooking and cashiering, ensuring the use of separate gloves for each task to enhance food safety standards.“

The prices are good and this subway, like many (but not all), gives you a coupon for your next visit on the receipt. There was only one employee working the counter...both building sandwiches as well as cashing people out.When it was our turn, we placed our take-out orders. The employee was friendly and professional, and our sandwiches were made perfectly! Since there were five people in our party, she put different colored tabs on our sandwiches so we could tell which one was which, without having to unwrap it. When we got home to eat, the subs were flavorful.Overall, this is a good location. The parking lot is easy to navigate, the store is clean, the menu boards are easy to read, and the employee who helped us was great. The only issue was that there was only one person working, which led to a bit of a wait.“
