“Was a 5 star now a 3. I've been coming here every Tuesday for 2 years and it's been an excellent experience. Since the change in servers/ personnel ,the service and experience has declined greatly. Our table waited 15 minutes for a server at 3:00. Katie (bartender) and Avery (server) are excellent and should work the bar area.“

Let me just say... if you’re staying at the Hilton Clearwater Beach and don’t stop into Carambola, you’re doing your entire vacation wrong. Seriously. Reevaluate your choices.

We rolled in hungry, mildly sunburned, and honestly questioning if we even liked each other after a long day at the beach. But within five minutes of sitting down, all our problems melted away like butter on a pancake (which they do have, by the way.. delicious ones).

Our waitress Taylor was an absolute gem. She had the energy of a triple-shot espresso and the charm of someone who’s clearly too good for this planet. Not only was she handling our table like a pro, but she was also training a new employee, Cynthia, who was also fantastic. Together they were like a buddy-cop movie, but instead of fighting crime, they were fighting off our hunger and thirst with relentless kindness and amazing recommendations.

Taylor was so on point, I honestly started wondering if she secretly owned the place. And Cynthia? If that was “in training,” then I can’t wait to come back when she’s fully powered up. She was sweet and very attentive.

The food? Slapped. Everything came out hot, fresh, and plated like it was about to walk onto the Food Network stage.

Long story short:

🍽️ Food: 10/10 would eat until I can’t move.
👩‍🍳 Service: Taylor and Cynthia are national treasures.
🎉 Vibe: Chill, breezy, with a side of “I’m never leaving.”

“Our group of thirteen dined here today to celebrate two birthdays, seated at two tables. We spent close to $800, and I have to say — the food was exceptional and our server was outstanding. The staff provided warm and attentive service that truly stood out. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful celebration was tainted by the behavior of the new ownership. A gentleman, who appeared to be part of the new management team (a man in his early forties), sat and later stood in different areas of the restaurant, repeatedly glancing at our group — the only African American party in the establishment — as if we were out of place. At no point did he acknowledge our tables or the two ladies whose birthdays we were celebrating. Yet, he made a point to warmly engage with non-Black patrons seated at the bar. The contrast was noticeable and deeply disappointing. In 2025, it’s disheartening that anyone still needs to be reminded that the color of money is green, and respect should not be selective. We value ourselves, our experiences, and where we choose to spend our hard-earned money. While the food was phenomenal, the lack of respect and basic acknowledgment from ownership left a lasting negative impression. We will not be returning, and I truly hope the new owner learns that real hospitality includes treating every guest with dignity and appreciation — not just those who resemble him. #Disappointed“

“A bus of us went to Gulfport to support the community after the devastation that occurred after 2 hurricanes.
7 of us descended on O'Maddy's for lunch. I was having a hard time deciding and asked our server for a recommendation. She said that Big John was a customer favorite. 4 of us ordered it. My sister opted for no bun, I switched from a pretzel bun to a brioche bun. All I can say is WOW! We all thought it was absolutely delicious. The thinly sliced roast beef was rare as promised and plenty of it. The beer cheese sauce, cole slaw, and potato chips on the sandwich completed this culinary delight. The french fries arrived hot and were delicious. We also asked for horseradish on the side to add to the deliciousness. None of the 4 of us could finish and got boxes to take the rest home. One in our party opted for the fish and chips, and he said it was delicious as well. Another ordered the salad with salmon and said that his was excellent.
We were seated pretty quickly and had excellent service. We will definitely be back!“

Combined with good food and great friendly service, it's a great stop in St Petersburg whether you stay at the hotel or not. Some good daily specials, for both food and drink. Again came face to face with NAM (which stands for Not A Moose, from what I overheard! He's a caribou!) who overlooks the bar. This place is worth a visit if you've never been here!“

“We walked in for dinner before the Alison Krauss concert yesterday and had a blast. The food was on point and they were packed but still able to run everything. We sat in the middle room, on the high top, next to the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, to the lady managing food leaving the kitchen, which made everything work, we had to resist screaming we have jazz hands every time you yelled "I need hands" LOL... “My son, mom and I stopped in for an early dinner after my son's basketball game. This was our 1st time here and we absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend the "Cool ranch rider" has a nice kick to it the only thing I did differently was ranch instead of mayo and banana peppers instead of hot peppers. My son had the "Turkey bacon" minus onion and tomato as well as sub the mayo for ranch he absolutely loved it!! My mom got the "Roast Beast" loved hers as well!! We decided to try the Lemon Blueberry cheesecake, it too was delicious!! We will definitely be back!! The ladies that helped us with our order were super sweet and made us feel very welcomed!! I love looking at their beautiful and unusual art pieces and have been to and enjoyed a few concerts there. It’s such a cozy and intimate and fun place. I’ve found the people who work there to be friendly and professional. The owner is a really smart and personable guy who has been in St. Petersburg for a long time. We walked into a warm welcome by a server who was leaving for the day, but she took the time to greet us and seat us. Then our very friendly server arrived at our table and welcomed us again and told us the specials. We ordered the shrimp and crab dip-omg-it was so delicious! Then we all ordered burgers. First bite into the burger we knew we hit the jackpot for a delicious, flavorful burger! It was beyond our expectations! Our server was the lovely Kelsey, and she was exceptional! Very attentive and so friendly! We are going back again while we are in town! Way to go Daiquiri Shak for great service and food! And a huge thank you to Kelsey for making us feel welcome!“
