I ordered and paid online and this was the quickest and most pleasant experience I’ve ever had at any takeout establishment. The cheesy bread was crispy and gooey in the middle yummm!“

“We go to Ford’s for lunch and dinner during the week because we love the menu and service/. My wife needs gluten free food and this is one of the few places that is committed to keeping the few prep clean so there is no cross contamination. Bri and Kristen answered her questions and addressed her concerns and the manager came out to reinforce Ford’s commitment as well as deliver the food. “This the Classic French restaurant you’re going to share with good friends! We were a group of 10 foodies from various and distinct backgrounds. We did the prefix dinner with wine pairings. Our expectations were high based on what we read about this jem and none was disappointed. The escargot and onion soup were spot on, the trout almondine and Beef Bourguignon were exceptional, but by far the star of the meal was the steak frites. A sublime surprise accompanied by a bordelaise sauce, a side of béarnaise and a small crock of blue cheese sauce shared by the chef! The wine pairings were all from Bordeaux, decanted and beyond excellent. Do not forget to order dessert! I can’t wait for our next rendezvous“

“My husband and I came here last night and we had a great time. Hannah was an absolute gem, she happily answered all our questions and recommended good choices off the menu. We had the Hogfather sandwich on sourdough with fries, the chicken tenders tossed with the cilantro, corn, cojita cheese and other spices (they were huge) and we tried the gouda mac and cheese. We weren't too impressed with the mac and cheese but it was good, and the rest of the food was fantastic. My husband also loved their old fashioned.

They had a cover singer was wonderful as well.

We will definitely return if we head back to Ft. Meyers.“

I grew up going to Pete’s Time Out on Fort Myers Beach, went almost every weekend until we no longer could and they had the best breakfast. “Great food but most importantly, great people make this restaurznt the best of it's kind anywhere in SW Florida. Shrimp portions are generous and if you like real southern cooking. Their authentic gumbo and creole jambalaya will warm your heart. If you happen to want an even warmer heart, you can up the heat with the ghost pepper version. You will encounter some great cooks and some attentive servers who will make your visits habit-forming!“

“I love trying different ethic foods. The food at Sumaq was absolutely delicious. The service was phenomenal. When I saw the table cloths, I thought it would be expensive, but the prices are reasonable. We started with avocado stuffed with shrimp, I had filet mignon beef tips which was cooked exactly as I asked. Not over cooked. My husband had the Jalea Mixta, nice light batter, not too heavy. We were given a sample of a cake served in Peru which was out of this world. And we are not big on cake. Would not hesitate to go back again. Highly recommend.“

“Nice place. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our ice tea full and remembered to keep plenty of Splena on the table. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad. I am a Cobb Salad fan and order one where ever I go. This one was huge and I mean a 12” plate piled on. All of the individual components were plentiful 5 grilled shrimp on top, tons of cherry tomatoes, a half a pig of bacon, bleu cheese, onions, and the rest were stacked high. Only thing that would have made it better would be chopped greens. I had to get a “kitty bag” for later. Desert was their Banana Bread Pudding with toasted bananas. Again huge could have shared it with 3. Wife ordered Crème Brûlée which she wouldn’t share. Only bump was wife’s entre, Dolphin fish came out topped with tomatoes which she is deathly allergic (not mentioned on the menu) but not to worry, they made her another lickety split. Two entrées, appetizer, ice tea, desert and nice tip came to just under $100 about average for a decent Cape Coral restaurant. Big smiles on this one.????“

“We are Sicilian decent wanted to try for my birthday. We ordered a Marguerita pie , eggplant parm, two seafood dishes and some soup. Staff was very nice and attentive. I liked that the food was not salty at all and you can add your own. My parents are hard to impress but my father loved it. He said “this is real pizza”. Set your expectations, this is not a brick oven pizzeria in Sicily. It’s a humble place in Florida , very clean and simple , reminds me of Nona’s food. Ohh the cannolis were 😚 yummy !! Crispy shell. I would go back just to have them !! You won’t be disappointed!!“

“Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.“

“I felt like I was back home. I’m from Pittsburgh and the owners are from there too. I met John and he and his staff made us feel welcomed. The atmosphere is nice, as well as decked out in Steeler paraphernalia. So if you’re a Steelers fan, you will love it. My wife got a BA fish sandwich. It was HUGE, and delicious. We also got a 16” pizza pie, the great white shark. It was delicious. Prices are great, service is terrific and food is hot and fresh. What else can you ask for. We will be back.“

“We had a fantastic dinner at GatorBites Tail & Ale. Amber, our server, was perfectly attentive and timed everything just right. Nick, the owner, added charm by working the floor as a “pretend bus boy” before joining us for a great conversation that made the evening even more memorable.

As a lifelong foodie who usually cooks high-end meals at home, I was genuinely impressed. Some of the negative reviews I’d seen beforehand now seem baffling — this place exceeded expectations across the board.

The food was outstanding. The beer-battered shrimp were the best I’ve ever had — light, crispy, and flavorful. The wings were excellent, and my wife loved her smoked pulled pork sandwich. Their signature fresh gator was also a standout. First-timers: go for the virgin breaded version — it’s far more tender and crispy than the flavored options.

Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality. The cocktails are strong and well-made, and their house IPA, Reef Donkey, was a surprise hit — easily the best IPA I’ve had.

Despite being a sports bar-style venue, it’s spotlessly clean, welcoming, and delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. We’ll definitely be back.“
