“I know this isn't a local joint, but it was late and local options were slim at the time. I wanted to send a shout out to Waffle House on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville for an excellent experience last night. We walked in for a late dinner at 10 minute to 9. They were packed and short staffed. We grabbed the only open table and the shift leader (manager?), who was also cooking, brought our drinks and took our order, advising that it may be a wait. While we were there, 4 staff members that had been called in to help showed up and went right to work. They were a well oiled machine, continually checking on all of the tables, apologizing for the wait, and thanking everyone for their patience. We got our food and left within an hour. If we had gone to the IHOP 2 doors down, we would have still been waiting for our food (even in the best of times.) I know times are tough for the service industry right now, but these ladies and gentlemen handled it with grace and efficiency. I tipped 50% of the bill, and would have done much more if I could have.“

“Though I'm not a fan of the way you have to order your meal, and I was a bit surprised at how hard it was to cut my food, I can honestly say the "five and dime" was the BEST chicken/egg/ biscuit and gravy entrée I've ever tasted!!!“

“Me and my husband just found this place. We told Tika(manager) who was taking our order that we had never eaten there before and she went above and beyond expectations to make sure we were happy with our visit. She was so nice and really helped with us having a great experience. And the food was AMAZING! If you haven't tried this place, what are you waiting for? Go you won't regret it“

“I went to First Watch for breakfast today. There was no wait which was great. The server we had was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered a Belgian waffle, orange juice and coffee. The sever does leave the pot of coffee on the table which is nice. The waffle was good but not quite done in the middle. A bottle of warm syrup is given to you also. The negative to First Watch is the chairs are horrible to sit in. They are straight back and hard. I have to assume they are this way so you do not stay long. Eat and leave! I would recommend because the food was good and the service was excellent.“

“Last time I was at an IHOP, a roach decided to join me on top of the table (in Charlotte, NC) so I left immediately but I decided to give it a try again and I'm in awe. Forgot to take a photo cuz it was so delicious. Had sirloin tips with fries (golden and crispy, 😋) and green beans. I was not disappointed. Thank you IHOP, I will definitely be back.“
