“I visited this store with my girlfriend because she saw the “key lime pie” sign on 41. We turned around and got it and it was very good (one of the slices was frozen but when it thawed it was good). We also had the key lime truffles and they were WAAY too sweet. However, the key lime pie was so good my girlfriend went back and got some. The first time we went, the girl said she could cut it into 6 or 8 if we bought an entire pie. When my girlfriend requested it to be cut, she said that she wasn’t able to. We’re confused why that was. For a $30 pie, requesting to get it sliced doesn’t seem like a big ask. It was also frozen.“

“The works are always grinding to push out the cookies of the week for customers. Today I experienced an issue with the third party delivery driver in which my order was ready and not picked up in over 30 minutes. I called the store to see if everything was okay and they offered to call the delivery service for me. After that my new driver successfully delivered my cookies and it came with a special note! Thank you to whom ever I spoke with on the phone and the rest of the crew💕“

“I read the reviews online (I’m from out of state) and couldn’t be happier w the cake I ordered for my father’s 80th birthday. The customer service was outstanding, especially the woman who I met in the store when I picked up my order. She was such a lovely person and so helpful. She helped me pick out some other pastries and helped me carry my goodies to the car. The chocolate buttercream frosting on the cake reminded me of the icing my grandfather used to make. Everything was wonderful and so delicious. Everyone loved the cake! Thank you!“

“These pastries are the best I have had outside of France, but they're not French. They are distinctly dulce de leche! She's got a white chocolate alfajore and other alfajores that will knock your socks off. I had no problems communicating with the lady who checked me out even though I do not speak Spanish. She speaks enough English to make herself understood. Her pastries are simply divine! Who doesn't love dulce de leche?“

“These guys are simply amazing!! And their cakes (and cupcakes) are so incredibly delicious!!! When ever I need something specially made, they do a perfect job every single time. I am not able to have gluten or dairy and you would never know that their cakes are GF and vegan (they make regular cakes as well but for obvious reasons, I have not had those lol!). “We had Cakes by Ron do our wedding cake for our destination wedding. The whole process was seamless. Very responsive to messages, and they were able to drop it off at our reception venue. Not to mention the cake was delicious and enjoyed by all the guests. Highly recommend.“

“I stopped in to meet with a friend and it was almost perfect. 4/5. I will start with the good. The latte was nice (they have oat and almond milk so happy to have diary free options). I ordered a pistachio muffin and was so excited to see they make them here. It was delicious! Probably one of the best I have had. Thank you for making this flavor! The woman at the counter was very nice and she makes a great latte. The cafe is small but has a decent amount of seating. The vibe is of a quick service cafe. It isn’t trying to be anything that it is not. The baked goods speak for themselves! So far so good! Until I realized there was a woman with her pet dog (not a service dog) at one of the tables INSIDE. She had a full breakfast spread and the dog barked the entire time. We got to hear the dog barking on and off the whole time AND listen to her snap at her dog to stop barking. It gets better. She put the dog in her lap several times (doggy dining health codes for OUTSIDE dining requires dogs to remain on the ground, off furniture/laps, and not use human dishes etc.). At one point the dog jumped on the other chair at her table and ate an entire quiche (or whatever it was) right off the plate. I was incredulous. Was this really happening? Why are we letting this happen? I love dogs and have two well behaved old guys that I will take for outside doggy dining when the weather is not too hot. Health codes are pretty clear about animals. My line of work also has me working closely with those needing properly trained service animals and this woman wasn’t even trying to pretend it was a service dog. Of course I will be back for a muffin and coffee. But if that woman is there with her dog again I might just go elsewhere.“

“I worked at the Bradenton Bakery as a production technician/sponge mixer and I was responsible for getting the process of making the bread started. I mixed all the ingredients into a huge dough mixer and after it fermented for about an hour I pulled the troughs of dough, that weighed over 2000 pounds, onto a lift that raised it up and dumped the dough into the main mixers. It was a very hard and hot job but I loved working there. My experience with the company as a whole was awesome. I recommend to anyone that doesn't mind working hard and getting great pay and benefits to apply there. The human resources department folks are just wonderful and will treat you very well.“

“I've been addicted to pork ribs, especially St. Louis ribs, since I lived and worked in the St. Louis area in 1966-1968. So wherever we are, wherever we travel, I always look for a good barbecue restaurant. Ribs are ribs, whether they come from St. Louis or Memphis or Austin or Kansas City or Charleston. So you can imagine my feelings when we discovered Perry's Roadside BBQ in Sarasota, Florida. Located at 936 42nd Street, on Route 41, north of Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Perry's offers a rack of ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked chicken and pulled chicken with a sweet, tangy sauce. Also baked beans, potato salad, corn bread, coleslaw and sweet potato pie. Open from 11 to 6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, Perry's offers a pleasant change of pace from the usual seafood fare. After considerable sampling, my wife and I finally decided that the best option for Perry's three-meat family meal that serves four to six but satisfies the two of us to a tee. It includes one rack or St. Louis ribs, four pieces of chicken, one pound of beef brisket, coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad. You'd be surprised how often there isn't anything left. Then, again, maybe you wouldn't be surprised.“
