For example, everything was very salty and the plating was slightly sloppy. Everything tasted good, though. Service was amazing, but the music was terrible. “As a gluten free vegan, it can be difficult to find restaurants that cater to that. This place was hands down the best place I have eaten at since being in St. Augustine. I got the breakfast burrito and it was beyond delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone looking for great healthy food and a chill environment. The service was also amazing, super friendly and accommodating. Thank you from this family of six for such an enjoyable meal!“

“It’s fun atmosphere, appreciate the live music, but I definitely appreciated the food. Never had I tried a Ruben sandwich, Donovan makes it the best, is the only place I will ever have one. I know what I like and don’t care to try it anywhere else. Enjoyed the music enjoyed the food.“

“Purple Olive never disappoints, offers a diverse menu of deliciously executed dishes, great staff and reasonably priced. Fortunately, we made reservations for opening night at new location and the food was stellar! The renovations are lovely and bar area warm and inviting. We started with a shared crab cake appetizer and pleasantly surprised. For our entrees we ordered the Mahi encrusted in macadamia nuts with a mango rum butter over jasmine rice with wok stir fried vegetables and the Korean style short rib with same rice and veg set up. No room for dessert this time, but if you haven’t tried their chocolate gateau please do, you will not regret. Kudos to Chef Peter and his staff.“

“Staff acts like they are doing you a favor by existing. The food is poorly constructed garbage. The wait time is long, which is worth it for good decent food, but not here. Served an egg sandwhich with not even enough egg to cover 1/2 of one piece of toast. Asked for another egg, was refused. The woman then walked into the kitchen right next to us and starting talking negatively about me knowing I could hear. I was with my 4 and 7 year old and my daughter noticed it. She has a reputation in town for being nasty. She assumes you are a tourist and doesnt care about the quality of her product because she counts on you not coming back to the town anyway. She already has your money, who cares if you had good service or decent food. The bathrooms are as gross as the way you are treated as a patron. Read all the reviews SOOOO many are people having the same experience!“

“Delicious food!! so glad we saw this place while turning around in the parking lot. the food was fresh and absolutely yummy. definitely will be going there again! had the turkey bacon sandwich on a bed of lettuce instead and added avocado. wow! and the sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection.“

“We tried to go into downtown St Augustine, but alas, the traffic was terrific! We decided to head back to our hotel. Along the way just over the bridge we found a great place on the St Augustine marina! Beaches had a very laid back vibe, the staff is very friendly and the service is great, even when under staffed!“
