“A True Hidden Gem in St. Augustine The Collage exceeded all our expectations. We’ve visited St. Augustine many times, but this was our first time discovering this incredible restaurant, and what a find! We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and stumbled upon The Collage online. Thinking it would be quiet on a Wednesday night, we didn’t make a reservation. Despite being fully booked, Megan, the restaurant manager, went out of her way to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. Our server, Franco, was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We began with the beef carpaccio and watermelon salad; both beautifully prepared. For our main course, we each had the 8oz filet topped with gorgonzola sauce, and every bite was mouthwatering. Between courses, we were treated to a refreshing raspberry sorbet to cleanse our palates—a lovely touch. For dessert, we shared a warm pound cake with raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream, paired with perfectly made espressos. The ambiance was quaint, cozy, and romantic,ideal for a special occasion like ours. We especially loved that the menu changes regularly, offering something new to look forward to each time. “I was on vacation when I saw this restaurant in St. Augustine FL. I saw the menu and said I have to go in and get something! I am a grilled cheese connoisseur and I make some good ones myself but oh my gosh, the grilled Mac and Cheese I had with I can't remember what kind of meat was AMAZING! So was the tomato soup! This amazing 70's music was playing inside and I was dancing waiting for my take out. It was so cool inside! They asked for my name and I told them. Little did I know when I came back in a few days later where we ate inside that time, that the man who waited on me 2 days before would remember me and call me by name! Holy cow! That was so cool! He said it was because I was dancing. I'm a dancer with 5 trophies so yeah, I was dancing to that good music but to remember me like that! If you love grilled Mac and Cheese or just grilled cheese in general and you love tomato soup, you have to eat here! I promise you will not be disappointed at all! Next time I want some Poutine and another sandwich! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!“

“Vibes are impeccable, food is even better! We stumbled upon this place after a kayak tour half a mile away. The menu seemed our speed and we’re in from out of town. Not only was the food unbelievable but the music playlist gets an A+ from an Elder Emo like me. They played Pinback, The Postal Service, of Montreal… some stuff I haven’t heard in years. I’ve living in large cities and I’ve never found a spot quite like this one.
The menu has options that are really great for anyone with food sensitivities. My husband and I don’t have any so we ordered the breakfast burrito and the egg sandwich with wheat on both. They serve breakfast all day which is super sick and have a good variety for a smaller spot. I expected the food to be good, but it was even better than I anticipated. The vegetables were fresh, everything was cooked perfectly, and it was a really chill place to eat a meal and get great service. We’re only in town for a few more days, but we’ll be paying another visit before we leave.“

“I have gone to Ned’s for several years, nearly every week. I would truly consider it the crown jewel of restaurants in St. Augustine. There’s something for everyone, and the portions are huge. You often see the same friendly faces week after week, and the service is absolutely world class. Any time anyone is looking for a recommendation, Ned’s is the place to go. My family and I consider it our go-to and almost a second home when you want the home style cooking, without the necessity to do your own dishes. Sunday bunch, a weekday lunch, or dinner over the weekend. This is the place to go!“

“This place is a spectacular sleeper. Hidden away and far too unknown. I’ve lived in the area 15 years and never been here. The food is over the top amazing! Portions are generous. The ambience is spectacular. You get to see planes land and takeoff while enjoying incredible food. What fun we had! Seriously - go there. It’s one of those amazing places where you hope the community supports it regularly because it’s worth it and you want it to be around for a LONG TIME. It hit a 100% on all the things we enjoy. My mom and I could not have eaten a second order. We shared one meal and there was more than we could eat. - We ordered bread to start off. . . . It took just a little bit longer to come to the table, that’s because it was fresh baked! The butter with the herbs was so good. Dipping oil with amazing seasoning and the right amount of salt. We met Christian, the chef. He is from Chili. He has passion about the food he makes. Mikey is on the kitchen killing it with him! Sam was our server. Fantastic attention to our wants and needs during the whole meal. Seriously, holiday parties. After work unwind. “While the host here could use some work, (just sitting out on the front on his cell phone), the rest of our experience was good. However, we stopped by a few nights later to eat here again and were told we weren’t able to eat inside, even though there was nobody seated inside. Other than that, we really enjoyed our experience here. Our server disappeared halfway through dinner, but was quickly taken over by somebody else and they never missed a beat. The food was absolutely fantastic. We split the two meals, and they even had pre-split them for us before they came out. Highly recommend! Great backyard area if it’s not too hot!“

“We ate at the Purple Olive for the first time this past Saturday night. It will certainly not be our last time. What an incredible dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is so delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server Jennifer was on point. Our water glasses were never empty, she gave us great tips about the menu, and struck the perfect balance between being responsive and giving us space. I had the macadamia crusted salmon, and I cannot honestly say it was the best salmon I’ve ever had. The flavor was delicious and it was cooked perfectly!“

“While visiting the area, stopped in for lunch based on the other reviews here. I was looking for something less “touristy” and was not disappointed. We were brought to a table immediately. It was a little loud- they were playing hard rock and metal which I loved (though not sure my older parents were thrilled.)
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
We all ordered the FT Burger. Generally, I don’t have bacon, onions or sauce on my burgers but decided to try it as-is (also has Havarti cheese and pickle slices.) it came cooked exactly medium rare as ordered.
This was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had, without exaggeration, and I’ve had some amazing ones. The natural-cut fries were great as well.
If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely come back.“

“We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here and they were recommended by a close friend & our AirBNB hostess recommended we make reservations. Glad we did. Food, atmosphere & people were amazing!! The taste and the seasoning of everything was off the chart. I read in the reviews about the bread, and they were not kidding!!! Excellent. I love my bread with dinner but this was like nothing I had ever had before. My husband usually does not eat carrots, but he loved the roasted carrots entree. That's saying a lot!! Don't miss out--so glad we went. They made it very special for us!!“

“Had a late lunch there on Tuesday, into the evening and I got to say the server working that side was amazing. She appeared to be everywhere. She was professional and funny. Her sense of humor is gold and truly the reason I will be back. My wife and I live about 3 mins away. It boggles my mind why we didn't come here before. But now that we know, we'll be back each Tuesday and asking for Catie. I suggest anyone else new to the restaurant do the same. You won't be disappointed. Her food knowledge was great, her being at the table and clearing our dishes, her overall personality is a win for us and why we will be back. Also, we do love a good salad bar. “We went to the Black Molly Grill to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had wonderful meals, ribeye and a shrimp special. Both were excellent.
