“It's been a while since I've had top-level sushi. Fitting it was at Chef David's other restaurant, Sushi By Bou. This omakase was a very relaxed 2 hour seating, with remarkable views of the ocean and the north Miami skyline. I found myself thrown back in my chair with the incredible layered flavors of the almost never-ending fresh fish. The cocktails were nuanced, and the atmosphere was filled with pure happiness. I'll definitely find myself coming back here often!“

“Shokudo is a lovely place, the staff is really humble and sweet. As the old saying goes first impressions are the best impressions and Shokudo has made an impression on our dining experience. Came for dinner and the food was super fresh, great tasting and flavorful. A-MA-ZING!!! Dinner was reasonably priced for what you get! Shokudo has a cozy vibe to it and we will definitely be back!!“

“I finally got a chance to take my girlfriend to Katana for a dinner date as we have tried dining here on several occasions but they're constantly at max capacity. It's a unique venue as it only has seating for about 20 people. The sushi selection is plentiful, although, the quality of the sushi could have been better but you can also order from their regular food menu. Overall, I give them a 4. Katana has the potential to become a 5, but between the long wait time to be seated and the mediocre sushi quality, I have to go with a 4. I would've liked to see more of the expensive sushi plates $8+ going around the sushi river. I recommend visiting.“

“Nothing out of the ordinary. When we left we left tip in cash, which is of course preferable to leaving a tip on the card. Yet, the waitress waived us down on the way out and told us it was not enough and they demanded more gratuity. Given that gratuity is optional, we were taken aback by this behavior because we had given all we had left to eat at this restaurant and support the community. It is inappropriate to demand customers pay more on an optional payment. If they want customers to leave a certain amount, they should then include it in the final bill the way some restaurants have already done. As a customer, I did not feel comfortable leaving the restaurant.“

I had salmon all around, and it was the freshest I've had by far... you can visit after the beach or on a fancy date it is just so versatile definitely will visit again. “I was here in September. My reservation was at 6:30pm, and I’ll tell you, it’s the best time because this restaurant is on the rooftop, and it’s very beautiful. By the time you take a few pictures, they’ll bring your food, and you can enjoy an incredible meal during the sunset. “This is one of the more unique kosher restaurants in Florida. One of the only spots with a live Dj who was great. The vibes are cool sitting on the roof next to the big guitar. Problem is they only have valet which is not cool for a restaurant. And the menu is super hard to read as the main food isn’t in bold letters and we all had a hard time. Also there were 3 waiters next to my table and i tried to get their attention for a few minutes and they were all busy chatting for literally 10 minutes before they realized us waving them down. Even still this place is vibes and I would recommend.“

“Decided to try this place on a weekday late at night. Service was slow, but that's because the one server that was there was taking care of multiple things, she was nice. Had a Cali and volcano roll, they were yummy! Also had shrimp tacos, they were just good, I felt it needed a bit more flavor so I added hot sauce. I will be coming back to try something new. Nice, laid back spot.“

Cocktails were uniquely presented, original and delicious. The food, where do I start. It is obvious that the chef(s) take a lot of pride in their food. From presentation to the complex and delicious flavors. The turkey wrapped dates were out of this world. I have read other reviews and don’t understand the complaints about portion size and price. The portion sizes were perfect not too much where you are full after one dish and not too small leaving you craving more. Kudos to all of the staff. This is not a cheap family restaurant but you are definitely getting value in the food and experience. Excited to come back and taste more of the incredible menu.“

“I first came to this restaurant in my neighborhood and my first impression was that it was a rather expensive lunch. What an idiot I was because frankly, it is perfectly priced for the supreme quality here.

This place is beyond superb. The food is so fresh and so flavorful that it pops awe in your mouth. Sadly, now I'm addicted to the Wasabi Bowl (with soba noodles and multigrains for the base) and have been ordering it for takeout with too much frequency. I love everything from the friendly and helpful staff to the tranquility of the restaurant, but it's the incredible food that truly shines.

I could not find a single flaw with this place other than, in an abundance of caution, they wrap their sauces in little plastic containers with tight-fitting lids in MORE plastic wrap to prevent leakage during takeout/delivery. I don't know why but it bugs me.

And if that's this restaurant's biggest flaw, you need to experience it for yourself. It is GREAT! ❤️“
