“Tonight my wife and I had two guests , one from out of town , and we spent a few hrs on the boat. We stopped here for dinner and it was packed. A server named Allie came over and checked to make sure we were on the list.When we were seated Allie took great care of us and the meal was great !!! “We dined at Casa Playa last night for a family get together and it was perfect! The ambience is open, contemporary and serene. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass, blonde wood furniture, bright white walls, and a colorful palm mural on one wall, is welcoming and confident. The artwork is in the food. We started with Peruvian style calamari which was crisply coated with an audible crunch. The chicken and beef Argentinian empanadas were baked pockets of lusciously seasoned meat. Other appetizers include crispy pork belly, spicy tuna tartar guacamole, and fresh ceviche. Several of us had the Ropa Vieja which our grandson delighted in telling us meant "old clothes." The flank steak was slow cooked in a well spiced tomato sauce with onions and peppers, then shredded to soak up all of the lively flavors. It was served with a mound of white rice, tasty black beans, and chunks of sweet maduros. Other dishes enjoyed by our family included shrimp, chimichurri steak, and mojo marinated pork.
The service was thoughtful and attentive and the evening was very enjoyable.
Casa Playa celebrates the culinary excellence and ingredients of Latin fusion. And they do it very well.“

The food I had was incredible, not sure what she had. But all I know is, if I was them, I wouldn't have maintained my composure for nearly as long. It was my first time here, and definitely seemed like a stray crazy person on Christmas evening. Pricing is fair and low, ambiance is very family oriented, like a strong community. We recently moved out of the Pembroke Pines area to Davie, and of course, decided to drop in to the one just off of University Drive and I-595. Since the move, we've been there at least three or four times. They have consistently served the best rack of baby-back ribs in their entire collection of restaurants. You want the best ribs? Go to THIS Flanigan's restaurant and experience the best ribs anywhere. The meal deal is awesome with the garlic bread, (also the best!), and the Caesar's salad, and a side for most meals. The atmosphere is great, and each of our servers have been true professionals that just know how to make their guests feel like people they like! This place should be crowded with waiting lines...
