“This is by far the best local eatery! I eat here almost every day. All the food is outstanding; as I eat healthy, I normally get the steak or chicken with salad and yuca or black beans. Of course a Cuban coffee and just sometimes one of their delicious desserts. I always bring home yuca and salad for dinner. For now, am staying away from carbs and have lost 11 pounds since going here.!! The servers are fantastic and very friendly. The entire restaurant is clean which is a huge thing to me! Highly recommend!!“

“Stopped in Francis Cafe after getting a haircut at Champions Barber next door. Normally, this restaurant isn't open on Dundays, but because of the hurricane and people without power, they decided to open for the day.

They were extremely nice and courteous. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a cafe con Leche, and a sunny D.

Awesome little spot to stop in for some Cuban food. We will be back!!

“Listen out here in the world you can come across some places to eat. Some are a lot nicer and cleaner than others. And I'm gonna have to say this one is way up there on that list. “??? I’ve been eating here 2-3 times a week for 4 months, and it's always amazing. Then, I noticed they only has 9 reviews which is crazy for how flavorful this place is. Everything is flavorful without being overpowering. This is a father/son operation, and they’re awesome guys. Today, I went plain Jane and had the quarter chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans, but their authentic Cuban is fresh and delicious. Especially their sandwiches. I usually go authentic with arroz amarillo con frijoles negros (yellow rice with black beans). All lunches come with a piece of Cuban bread. Their breakfast is great, too. The eggs are fresh and cooked to order. The build-your-own omelette is a phenomenal way to start the day. They also do catering. If you’re just northwest of the Buccaneers stadium near the Lois & MLK area, take a stop at this little food truck, and be very pleasantly surprised. I’ll post more so that word gets out about this hidden gem. This lunch was $10.74 with tax. I am not compensated in any way, but I am a chef having previously worked in a Michelin Star restaurant, and a Food Safety Instructor/Proctor. I know how hard it can be to not get the proper exposure.“

“This place looks like a little dive when you drive by, it is. Like the good kind. The menu is simple but is made to order by two ladies who you would want as a grandmother and a sister.. There are also some premade foods which looked pretty good. The food is real “homemade”. It appears to be geared toward working folk (me) and I loved it.“

“Best Cuban food outside of Miami. Great menu choices. I had the chicken ala parilla with tostones. It was delicious. Server was friendly and very professional. Went for lunch at about 2 pm after visiting the Tampa Zoo, which is not too far away. We were seated right away. Plenty of parking. You have a choice to sit cafeteria/stool style on the one side of the building or a sit-down table on the other. Highly recommended, very reasonably priced.“

“Breakfast was good. I ordered lunch and had a fried steak sandwich. I didn’t like the fried steak sandwich because of the mustard in it. I think the steak sandwich I am used to in Miami have mayo and the white sautéed onions are crispy but cooked, which taste different. I also ordered sweet fried plantains and they are missing the essence of a sweet fried plantains, the plantain must be ripe. So I will keep searching for a Cuban eatery here in Tampa. The seating is a little cramps but enough space to move around, chill atmosphere. Maybe missing a little Cuban music in the background.“

Most of the people leaving under 5 stars are just mad that churroman doesnt take card - just bring cash. They dont take $50/$100 bills cuz of counterfit risk, many places are like this - get over it.“

“My wife and I have many favorite Latin American restaurants, but this one absolutely blew us away. The breaded steak was the actual best I’ve ever had. It was so tender that we only needed a fork to eat it. The breading was also flavorful and crunchy. The rest of the plate was great as well. “so it's a mixed review. we went to Celebrate a friend's Birthday. the package fee is ridiculous and not worth the price tag. is it fun yes but short and a bit unorganized and no where near $180. the food is good but priced on the higher side and limited menu so definitely check it out before going. drinks are same, overly priced for the location. its attached to the Quality Inn and a older space they are trying to pass as a high end south beach bar/club. our waitress was low energy and not very attentive although the place was not very busy when we went. the music is fun but way too loud for a restaurant environment.“

“The place is cozy and clean. Everyone is friendly and it’s as if you are part of a big family. The staff knew customers names and the owner introduced herself to us.
We had the regular Cuban sandwich which was big enough to split. It tastes great but could have used more roast pork. We also had the deviled crabs which had plenty of crab meat and good taste.
They carry hot food which looked yummy!
It’s a little chilly sitting inside and loud, but overall a great experience for our first time trying.“
