Unforgettable Meal at M&R Cafe – Delicious Food & Top-Notch Service!
My wife and I stopped by M&R Cafe today, and it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time!

M&R Café Southern Cuisine offers authentic Southern cooking where the food is absolutely delicious, bursting with real Southern flavor, and made with excellence. Dishes are cooked perfect, with all the season and flavor just right, tasting fresh and homemade. Popular items include oxtail with yellow rice, which is meaty and not fatty, as well as cat fish, tender turkey wings that fall off the bone, and phenomenal seafood fried rice. Sides like collard greens, potato salad with egg, baked beans, and the irresistible, creamy million dollar Mac n cheese receive high praise. The generous portions provide great value.
The restaurant also features refreshing, fresh-made-from-scratch juices like the pineapple lemonade and mango tea, alongside unforgettable desserts such as rich red velvet cake, banana pudding cake, and strawberry cake. Service is consistently described as friendly, welcoming, and nice. While there can be a wait for food, it is widely considered worth it. Some notes mention a personal dislike for the specific fennel flavor in the oxtail and the cornbread, but overall the experience is highly recommended for its flavor, quality, and consistency.
