“Jeremy the host was very welcoming and explained the difference between the dining room upstairs and the tavern/bar downstairs. This was our first visit and he suggested upstairs. We were sat at a lovely table outside overlooking the water. Our waitress Becky was very attentive professional and pleasant. The food did take longer than expected but overall the quality was very good.“

“Waited at least 20 minutes for a table outside. They were crowded as usual. Waited 5 minues for Jennifer to bring us coffee and water. She said she'd be right back for order. 15 minutes later others were seated, and actually served. Our waitress rook the order fir a couple who had just been seated and then took ours. I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.“

“We haven't been to Salty Dog Venice in a while, so we stopped by when we saw they had live music. Great evening! Talented musician and great outdoor marina vibe. My meal was good. I had the grilled mahi sandwich. However, I could have done without the giant bun. Maybe a thinner one— let the mahi speak for itself. They should also hire a couple more servers. Service was slow. We will be back for more fun tho! 🏝️😃🐾“

“What an unexpected delight! Delicious fish and loved that they had malt vinegar with it! A little disappointed they served steak fries instead of English chips but everything was excellent. Wish we had more nights to try some of the other English dishes. The Ole Smoky Old fashioned was also superb. And what a fun way to present with the burnt cedar. Better than our Wisconsin old fashioned. ?. We will definitely return next winter.“

“Went here with my wife and her in-laws. They are part of the Marriott Bonvoy Eat Around Town program, so got some points for some incredible shrimp scampi and wonderful service.

The owner even stopped by and was real laid back and funny..would've fit into the Rat Pack had he been born 30 years earlier.“

“We were looking for a location to host a reception for my Mother-in-law's celebration of life and Valenti's was one of the only locations we contacted that a) actually picked up the phone; b) could accommodate our group, and c) worked with us to make it a perfect and memorable event. Cesare and the entire staff there were amazing. They transformed the lounge into a beautiful and warm location and went above and beyond, adding black table linens, bud vases with flowers on the tables and candles, none of which we asked for, but all of which he delivered. It was such a nice touch and added a lot of warmth to the event. We had several older Italian's in our party (my Father-in-law is 84) and it was the perfect location for them to sit, fill their belly's and reminisce with family they hadn't seen for years. Cesare prepared a special menu for my Father-in-law, to include an antipasto, caprese salad, chicken piccata, meatballs and baked ziti, which seemed to please the crowd. They also allowed us to bring in pictures of my Mother-in-law to sit around and use their television to have a scrolling slide show of photos of her. The staff was very attentive to our group and made my Father-in-law feel very special. I cannot express how grateful we were to the entire team there for making this day memorable.“

“The food was amazing. But I made a reservation for 8 at 7pm. Walked in and said told them I had a reservation she came over asked me my name then she answered then phone. After she got off the phone I asked if we could please sit outside and she said “ do you really want to do that I would have to move a table” She then said I have you set up in the back and led me to the back and walked away and said ya great in a smart manor. She was walking around talking to everyone so she must be some kinda lead I wouldn’t even call her a manager but yeah with that interaction me and my 350$ dinner bill will not be back.“

“This is literally the only edible Chinese food in Venice. It’s not my all time favorite, because I come from NJ and NYC where the greatest Chinese takeout in the country is. But there are some pretty good things here, which is excellent compared to every other place in Venice. The wonton soup, boneless spareribs, sweet and sour pork, egg roll and general tso’s chicken are all good. I go here sometimes once a week and don’t get tired of it. The only things I haven’t liked from here are the bourbon chicken, which was really dry and needed a lot more sauce and the fried rice, I really don’t like the fried rice here. It’s the only place I’ve ever asked for white rice with a combination platter. The service is the fastest I have ever comes across. My food is always ready in 5 minutes without fail. It’s definitely worth a visit. It’s 4 stars in Venice. In Sarasota, it would be more like 3 stars. Still good either way.“
