Gertrude's Kitchen prepared a Great Memorial Day spread with BBq ribs, chicken, burgers and Mac and Cheese.The food was AMAZING! Everything was neatly packed and delivered. They were so thoughtful to include packets of condiments and an assortment of sauces that weren't even needed. “This restaurant is an amazing boxed lunch bonanza; but dining in, like we did, is also very pleasant. All of the staff are friendly & helpful. They're the kind that remember their regular customers' orders.

Their bread is OUTSTANDING!! So soft, but not too much. And it tastes delicious with the cinnamon butter they include in your order!

I got their Mango Avocado Salad. The lettuce was super fresh with lots of crunch. Thin slices of avocado topped the diced, seasoned chicken breast & pieces of mango. It cane with poppyseed dressing, which was also scrumptious!

They offer quite a number of specialty soups. I had the red pepper gouda; my bestie had the mushroom bisque. The mushroom bisque was a little thicker than my bestie preferred, but both soups were very tasty & seasoned well. Both soups were super hot. It was refreshing to have the soups be served so hot, but you do need to remember to blow on it or let it cool a bit while you eat some of your salad or sandwich.

They also have several specialty desserts. A side note: a small, chocolate chip cookie is included in the soup-salad-sandwich combos!

Not only were the food options great and easily accommodated our dietary requests, but they were such a pleasure to work with. Every idea I had that "out of the norm" was never criticized. We worked with Anand directly to create a unique menu that offered our guests a variety of Guyanese, Indian and Italian cuisines for our Mehendi and Kangan events. Anand handles everything from traditional vegetarian 7 curry up to poultry/meat/fish/seafood entrees and appetizers. Our guests was impressed to see how well prepared Anand was to manage the service for a 400 plus group for both days cocktail, dinner and dessert. We have some amazing but picky cooks in both of our families, however Anand had no issues with satisfying their palates and making them want more. We highly recommend the full service option that Anand and his team offers. His team handled the full set up, break down and clean up. They all did an amazing job. Our guests were satisfied overall and the food was plentiful and delicious. Best of all our traditional food was executed exceptionally without having our parents and immediate family members having to lift a finger. “We just used Bless My Soul for our wedding a week ago and they did not disappoint. They traveled from Orlando to Jacksonville for our event because they were better than all our local options. We got to meet with Antionae a couple months back to try a sample of our menu and I knew before even trying the food that I wanted to work with her. She was so nice, but also honest and real. She gave me a fair price and was so easy to work with. She was polite and professional and really seemed to have everything in order. And the food was delicious, of course.
