“From the moment I stepped into "The Sweet Spot," I knew I was in for a treat. Owned and operated by the most delightful mother-daughter duo, this bakery is a true gem in our community. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality make every visit feel like coming home. But let's talk about the main attraction - the sweets! Oh my, where do I begin? The homemade cupcakes are nothing short of divine. Each one is a masterpiece, with perfectly moist cake and a swirl of the most decadent frosting you've ever tasted. The variety is impressive. The donut holes are a revelation. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness, they are dangerously addictive. I dare you to try just one! They're perfect for a quick treat or to bring to a gathering - if you can resist eating them all yourself, that is. What sets "The Sweet Spot" apart, besides their incredible treats, is the love and passion that goes into every batch. You can tell that baking is not just a business for this mother-daughter team, it's a way of life. Their joy in sharing their creations with the world is palpable, and it adds an extra layer of sweetness to everything they make. In a world where everything feels increasingly commercial and impersonal, "The Sweet Spot" is a breath of fresh air. It's a place where you can slow down, savor the moment, and enjoy some truly amazing sweets. I cannot recommend it enough. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by. Your taste buds will thank you!”

“We enjoyed a mushroom and pepperoni pizza and 1/2 order of cheese bread. We also got the larger drinks- that can with a souvenir cup!Super excited that it was not smoky- but they have a outer smoking area of that's your thing. Will return to try more items.Parking: Minimal parking from what we could see.Kid-friendliness: Would bring kids early. Heard it gets crowded and loud as the day goes by.”

“A local favorite. The food is cheap and good and the atmosphere is perfect for taking the family out.Plan to stay a little while, not because the service is slow, but because you'll just wanna stick around a little while and relax. You may run into old friends or make new ones while you're there.Absolutely worth a stop if you're new in town, just passing through, or have lived here your whole life.”

“Stopped by for dinner our first night in Americus and it was good! Our server was sensational! The only complaint I had was I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was made in a highball glass!! It was good, but would have been better in a taller glass. Food was yummy!!!”

“A little loud in here with the local chatter, as this has a very small dining area. Chicken was good. Sides are your typical for the south. Plenty of Okra. Desserts were good. Canned Sodas, Fresh Lemomade and plenty of Sweet Tea for the drink choices.Definitely will try them again on a fish day.”

“Excellent fried catfish fillet and fried shrimp. My sister got the boneless wings, honey bbq. She said they were good as well as the red potatoes. The place is definitely a hole in the wall, but the food is awesome. Service was good as well. Not much parking, but there is parking across the street and behind the restaurant.”
“You want your Great Grand-Mother's and Grand-Mother's cooking? This is the place. If from Atlanta, this place is reminiscent of Mary Mac's in Atlanta when the Lupo family owned the restaurant back in the '60's and '70's regarding the food savoriness and taste. We had fried chicken, collard greens, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, mac & cheese, dressing, cranberry, pecan pie, like Momma used to make! and some of the best sweet in the South.Cafeteria self served style, come early, or, don't complain about the offerings. but most delicious!Ignore the decor, its a basic cafeteria of sorts, that's not what you came here for! It's the food!”

“Depend on what you order, it is either good or bad. I've had bad experiences with the Sesame Chicken. 3 -4 different times, I asked for VERY LITTLE GRAVY. I got A TON!. Even when it's their cooks fault, you don't get refunded! Bad business! They're beating people! UNFAIR I wish I knew each time, which one was cooking my food! They show you, you don't get your food prepared your way. Maybe some!. Smh”

“Tried some cupcakes from PeeWee Bakery at Downtown Americus First Friday and my family will definitely be repeat customers! The strawberry lemonade is the PERFECT way to wash down any of their cupcakes. I had a brownie batter chocolate cupcake, and the cupcake was perfect and not too heavy! My fiance had a banana pudding cupcake and was in heaven, and my son loved his sprinkles cupcake. Super friendly service, definitely give them a try if ever given the chance!”

“We went one afternoon in search of a nice seafood place that did not have graffiti all over the walls like some of these new places popping up. We wanted to eat in and because of covid ( January 2021 ), they weren't doing 100% dining service. So we ordered at a counter and the food was brought out to us. We tried the shrimp and grits and the fish and grits. Both were excellent. Warning though, the shrimp were not peeled. We thought this was odd because they were covered in sauce but we had to dig in it to retrieve the shrimp and peel them ourselves. Even though we were told they weren't doing the dining service, the nice gentleman did check on us while we were seated and brought us some to go boxes later on. The place has a club atmosphere, although we weren't there at a time when there was music. We may return to see what they have to offer. All in all, the experience was good and we will return to try other dishes. Thank you for keeping the restaurant classy and not trashy with graffiti!”
“I like their food and the lady who works the register is very sweet. Sure, it's a low budget local place, but they know how to cook. Prices are reasonable, too.”
