We've eaten at the American many times, but something has changed. Food was served cold, portion sizes have changed, recipes have changed. Very disappointed in what used to be our favorite restaurant in Bainbridge
We have eaten here many times and have recommended this restaurant to friends and family. My brother in law took his family to the American last week. He called and told me how bad the food was, I couldn’t believe it. So my wife and I went there to night and the food was not good. The Asparagus was like chewing wood, the rice was cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. My steak was cold and had a lot of fat. My daughter and I had business in Bainbridge, so we chose The American for lunch. There were only three tables occupied during what should have been a busy lunch hour. We ordered hamburgers, cooked medium. They were very rare, cold red and mushy center and dripping blood. There was no seasoning on them and we couldn’t get any salt and pepper.
