“So we were on a Lifestyle Visit in the area (coming from CA), staying at the Ritz Carlton and our real estate agent had highly recommended us to the Table at the Lake for dinner. As we parked, we quickly noticed how quaint the outdoor seating and lighting was....It was just so welcoming and beautiful! We entered into the restaurant which quickly felt like we were in Europe with the exquisite decor and hospitality. We met both of the owners, Jon and Jeff as we entered the restaurant and they both appreciated and were gracious that the local real estate agent had recommended us trying their new restaurant. They were super warm and friendly and accommodating even though we did not have reservations and they were quite busy. My husband and I were promptly seated in their outdoor patio with the incredible, cozy ambiance of beautifully decorated accents and decor. Our waiter, Johnny was beyond welcoming, attentive and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items. All of his recommendations were spot on and we literally ordered exactly what he recommended based on our desires. Johnny was amazing with his impeccable service and attention to detail. It was truly such an intimate experience with their Southern hospitality. Plus the owners both stopped by our table to check in and chat with us during our dinner. We absolutely loved the personal touch that we felt while dining at the Table at the Lake! When we visit Lake Oconee again and maybe purchase our next home, we will definitely dine again at this incredible gem of a restaurant! Such a treat in so many ways! We highly recommend this place!!”

“A unicorn of a restaurant, fine dining far outside of Metro Atlanta. It's a small, beautiful space eating less than 40 in downtown historic Madison. Prefix or a la carte menu offerings. Good variety of choices with a consistent culinary style. Service is Hands-On, knowledgeable, personable and friendly. Remarkable wine list and a full bar. Not in everyday restaurant, but should be top of the list for any special event in the lake oconee area. Nothing compares without a drive of at least an hour or more.”

“We visited Oconee Coffee Roasters yesterday while in Madison, Ga., one of our most favorite day trips from Atlanta. This time though, we discovered the greatest authentic coffee shop right there in Madison. And my husband grew up on a coffee farm in Kenya, so he knows and recognizes great coffee ! We had the Oconee Blend in a cappuccino. The owner told us we would be pleased, and that was an understatement ! The Oconee Blend is truly outstanding. It has a pure, gentle, exciting taste, even better than our usual Illy Classico. Food comes out so fast too, so if you’re in a rush at lunchtime you can get in & out in 30 minutes. Convenient location & plenty of parking. Prices are very reasonable & they give you plenty. “We just went to Lamai Ban Thai and while it was great before it is MAGNIFICENT now. Everything we ate was so delicious and the ingredients fresh.
