“Wow, you know you hit the jackpot when you show up at 5:15 (opens at 5) and the parking lot is filled to the max! Inside everyone knows everybody, there are hugs and greetings left and right! Food was fantastic! Flounder and shrimp, perfectly cooked and seasoned! The fries were hot and salted to perfection, no heat lamp needed. The young man running the section was moving!“

We are engaged in an epic state of desiring food and the server named Tyler has brought forth on this establishment a professionalism and courtesy that is only talked about in stories of yesteryear. His quickness is that of legend, rivaling Mercury - delivering adult beverages to our table in what basically amounts to a nano second.

Chicken wings? But of course - Tyler recommended and delivered flavors beyond those of other restaurants. His sauce exploded like flavor crystals in my mouth.

“Yesterday was my first time at Culver’s and it was such a great experience!! The food was hot and fresh and just so delicious! No other fast food nearby is like this. And the employees did a great job especially the girl who was my cashier, Anna was so respectful and made sure to help me out with decision making and was very patient!! “Black Barley has a laid-back vibe, and from the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome. They also have a great selection of beers, and I really appreciated that they let us sample a few before deciding on a full pour.

The food is made to order and comes out surprisingly quickly.

We started with the fried pickles, which were perfectly crispy and, unlike those I’ve had at other restaurants, weren’t overly salty. I ordered the avocado burger with a fried egg, and it was simply delicious. It wasn’t overloaded with condiments, allowing the fresh flavors to shine through. We also tried the smoked wings, which were flavorful and made with simple ingredients that really let the quality of the food stand out.

Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.“

Everything I've eaten here has been so good we keep going back! This time I had the combination fried rice and it was absolutely fantastic! It has everything in it! the meat you'd expect shrimp, steak and chicken which was delicious but the veggies and rice were far beyond typical! I was very pleasantly surprised it looked so good in the box I smiled and let me tell you it was worth cheering! it's worth going back just for that combination fried rice. I have every intention going back until I've tried everything on the menu. Do yourself a favor and go by there next chance you get!!“

“I never know what to expect, but I always have a good time. I like that it’s low key and chill. I’m in my 30’s and appreciate a cool, laid back hang out spot. The food is crazy good… try the wings or smash burgers! The karaoke is so much fun, and I love the host! They always show the best sports too!“

“The biggest strength of Chatter's Scratch Kitchen is its staff. They're consistently friendly, welcoming, and provide great service, which is a big reason I keep coming back.

The food is generally good—maybe not exceptional, but it's reliable and satisfying when you're looking for a casual meal.

That said, I think the restaurant is due for a refresh. The building is starting to show its age. The dining room, tables, chairs, and flooring all feel worn, and the bar area has an odor that's not especially inviting. The restrooms could also use some updating, and the outdoor patio would benefit from a little more attention and maintenance.

None of these things ruined my experience, but I do think a thorough deep cleaning and a facelift would go a long way toward bringing the restaurant back to the level its staff deserves. The people who work here do an excellent job, and the atmosphere should reflect the same pride they show in serving their customers.

Overall, it's still a place I'd return to because of the friendly service and dependable food. I just hope the owners invest in the property so it can live up to its full potential.“

“The cook that made our food must have been trained by Gordon Ramsey because it was the best Sunday all-star meal I’ve ever eaten in my life. Bacon was crispy, eggs over medium were cooked perfectly, toast buttered just right. My grits were on point. My wife’s food was just as good. Hash browns were perfect, usually a lil too oily for my liking at this establishment, but these weren’t. Sausage was perfectly cooked nice crust yet not over cooked. Waffle was perfectly cooked and fluffy. And my food was all to-go. Just had to leave a review which I never do. Great job y’all.“
