“This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

“I love this place! Best wings in town in my opinion. Fried rice is good too. I only had one issue were I was put on hold and had to hang up, but that only happened once & they get busy. The staff is always friendly. The cashier called me by name when I came in today!“

As I sat in my car over a span of 15 minutes, I saw 4 other groups walk to your door to also realize you are closed. It would be nice if you informed people through your website when you will reopen. “If I ever find myself in downtown Macon, Famous Mike's will definitely be on my radar. Our usual breakfast stop is there, mainly because we can't resist the allure of their cheese grits and French toast. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. “I got the Steak Fried Rice. The rice is a bit undercooked to my personal liking, but overall I think it’s good. Flavor is a bit bland, may need some pepper. The broccoli adds a good bit of moisture in each bite, good with the rice. Onions cooked to perfection, as well as the egg, carrots, and peas. I would order again. The portion is good enough for one as a meal, but would probably require some more food if sharing.“

“I work on the campus where Edgar's Bistro is located so I can literally call down to place my order and pick it up. That being said, Edgar's has changed a bit since I've been going there. The restaurant is now a student training facility. They are only open seasonally and only for limited hours. In the current quarter, Edgar's is open Wed - Fri, 11am to 2 pm. Also, the menu changes seasonally.This quarter, I have tried roughly 50% of the menu so far and everything has been good. The dine-in service is somewhat slower than calling ahead because everything is cooked to order... but again, they are students and they are learning. I feel it was a good dining experience.“

“We visited on Saturday evening and loved the vibe of this brewpub. The waitress was great with answering our questions and service was good. The burgers were cooked exactly as we ordered them and all ingredients were fresh. Their sauces were a highlight… the jalapeño ranch was to rave about. Excellent hint of heat in a homemade ranch made this the perfect pairing with their hand cut fries. The beer selection was solid and our choices were delicious- the Riverside and the Peach sour were both ones we would recommend. Finding parking on a Saturday night was the only part of this experience that was less than stellar. We will definitely be back.“

“This is by far one of the best small restaurants I have ever been in. We went on a Saturday when it was first opened and we had a waiter serve us almost immediately and pleasantly. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich as it was by far the best one I've eaten in Macon so far. The atmosphere is kinda older feeling but authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I'm new to Macon as a resident but been coming here for years after discovering it by accident in 2021. Food and drinks on point, they need ginger ale for mixers though as I like whiskey & tequila with it. It settles stomachs and less calories. I would come there more to drink if they did. The food and price of that fish is worth every other weekend though.“
