“Mothers day brunch was wonderful.
We had the smoked duck benedict and french toast special. For an appetize we tried the high tea plate mothers day special and hollendaise oysters. The bar served an amazing signature drink called Appalachia Cola. Service was timely and professional.

Even in the face of a busy day and a horribly acting patron, evil woman that had nothing to do but complain and ruin the experience of other guest around her, the staff and owner conducted themselves with grace and kindness.

100% will be back and cant wait to try more of their delicious food.

“The food was excellent. We started with the pork belly bites and had the chicken special for the entree. Cocktails are very good and the bartender really listens and makes what you like. Service is always good.“

“What a gem! I googled restaurants in downtown Macon and Cox's had the best reviews. We drove through a decidedly industrial area and were beginning to wonder where GPS was taking us. The Cafe exterior is rustic, but don't be fooled. Good people, good service and great food await. I had 2 eggs, scrambled to perfection and toast with coffee (good and hot). Jack had 2 eggs over easy, hotlinks, grits and biscuit. He prounced his meal delicious. If you're in the area, give it a try!“

“This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

“It’s hard to find good service nowadays but H&H brings it ! Made a stop by on a road trip across Georgia and was greeted with great hospitality on top of great food , kitchen manager let us order the eggs rolls before lunch time just to be able to try and I’m glad he did because they were delicious, would recommend this restaurant to anyone“

“I work on the campus where Edgar's Bistro is located so I can literally call down to place my order and pick it up. That being said, Edgar's has changed a bit since I've been going there. The restaurant is now a student training facility. They are only open seasonally and only for limited hours. In the current quarter, Edgar's is open Wed - Fri, 11am to 2 pm. Also, the menu changes seasonally.This quarter, I have tried roughly 50% of the menu so far and everything has been good. The dine-in service is somewhat slower than calling ahead because everything is cooked to order... but again, they are students and they are learning. I feel it was a good dining experience.“

“I just returned from deployment and bought a house in GA. My family came down to visit and I took them here. Absolutely incredible food and beer. I got the fries with blue cheese and hot sauce, fried pickles, the patty melt, garlic aoli/blue cheese dipping sauces, plus beers. My food was incredible and the portions were huge. My fries were literally the best fries I have ever had and even the staff commented on how much they love them. 10 out of 5 stars on every component of food/beverage/decor/service!“

“Recommend--just don't get the limp, soggy, greasy fries. Worst we've EVER eaten anywhere. Too, the chocolate shake lacked the flavor expected in a milk shake. By contrast, the onion rings were awesome. Chelsea B. offered exceptional service, exceeding our expectations, and was well tipped for it.“

“Stop at CB when traveling. Having experienced many other locations, this one stands out.

Stopped for lunch, the Trout cooked crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Corn Bread and biscuits cooked perfect. Service was above excellent!! Wish I lived closer!!!“

“We visited this restaurant on February 19th, 2022 for my husband's birthday. The service was absolutely the best we've had in years from any restaurant we've been. Jessica was an exceptional server. “I've gone to this Applebee's a few times for lunch, probably some of the most friendly staff I've met in some time! Food was delicious, they were extremely kind, and extremely helpful!

Cristina the manager is great with her team and so nice. Jill Corso was one of the most kind and helpful people I've met at an Applebee's! Luz in carside is also extremely helpful, it's hard to find someone who isn't ready to help in the staff.

The lady told told me hold on and I heard one person say you need to take that order, I not finna take no damn order, they were just cussing the whole time I was waiting on the phone I made it to the store. Placed my order there, one girl had wipe her nose and mouth and fix someone a drink, grills for the waffle had waffle mix all around it in between time they could have cleaned it, another person was drinking a energy drink, whole time they were talking the ( EMPLOYEES) just cussing they weren't whispering. “I used to eat here years ago and decided I wanted to come here for my gender reveal June 15th. It hasn’t happened yet but the excitement from the sweet woman on the phone. So accommodating She’s willing to take a very very large party and willing to help decorate and hold my baby’s cake in the fridge. This is good service you guys. I promise the food is amazing and the service is impeccable. Make sure to tip very well when you go. These amazing prices leave plenty of room for good tipping ? I have required my whole party to tip 18% of their check to the restaurant no exceptions. It’s even on their invite ? They have taken care of me so I will take care of them! Orders were incorrect (I ordered a Goose burger plate with Onion Rings and got Fries instead. Rings were eventually received). Food was good, service a bit slack. I guess large parties (12) are not the norm. Feel ambivalent about returning.“

“When it was bought out about 8 maybe 9 years ago the place was a wreck. Now the new owners Randy and Kathy Ratterrie put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it and now it is Macon's best poolroom. Tournaments on Thursday night, Friday night keriokee, Saturday night live band. The rest of the week is devoted towards cards and APA League pool. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE POOLROOM!! They built an area out back with a few tables and umbrellas and you can take your drinks outside with you. Nice people good atmosphere, GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS.

Parking: Parking lot is spacious, free and is monitored by cameras. If you are a lady by yourself you can go to the bartender and ask for someone to walk you out to your car.“

“As good as ever! Best pickle chips anywhere! I'm a graduate of Mercer, so this was always the go to spot in College (10+ years ago!) Haven't been able to visit since 2019. I live across the country now... nowhere I've ever gone has as good of pickle chips: actually crispy, served with the best sauce. And I have dreams about the sauces - so many options, all of them delicious! So glad this place is still open and still serving the best!“
