Cox Cafe Reviews
Cox Cafe is amazing- and for the price- you can't beat the quality of the food nor quantity of each serving. I needed a to go box! Delicious pork chops, veggies, griddle cake, sweet tea and dessert!
A Macon staple. Used to live in central GA and loved the food. Was a must go when I was in town. Some of the best southern style home-cooked food you've ever tasted. Great sweet tea too!
Food from bygone era!

Cox Cafe, located in downtown Macon, offers a taste of home with its grandma's cooking style. The rustic exterior might deceive you, but inside, there's good service and great food. From perfectly scrambled eggs to hotlinks and grits, every meal is delicious. The fried cornbread critters are a must-try, with the cornbread known for being about 4” round and 1/4” thick, with crispy edges. The cafe is a gem worth visiting, featuring friendly staff, free parking, and wheelchair accessibility, making it a convenient and welcoming spot for anyone craving comforting meals reminiscent of grandma's kitchen. Customers praise the amazing quality and quantity of the food, including delicious pork chops, veggies, griddle cake, sweet tea, and dessert. The breakfast deals are also considered awesome. The food is fresh, and it's a food bar where diners can see and pick what looks good. The cafe is known for having the best meat and three in the area, and it’s recommended to visit early, before 10 am. This is not a place for fancy dining; it’s where hard-working folks come for real country cooking. Cox Cafe has been serving up friendly service, warm smiles, and hot food since 1996, making it a comforting spot that feels like home.
