Based on the reviews, The Dawg House Bar & Grill is a go-to pool hall in Macon. The food is awesome and comes quickly, with tacos being a must-order. The bartenders are knowledgeable and really nice. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, offering a drama-free environment for enjoying billiards. There are 10 Diamond pool tables kept in pristine condition. Billiard cues and repair are also offered. The place was a wreck when new owners Randy and Kathy Ratterrie bought it, but they put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. Now it is Macon's best poolroom. There is no smoking inside the poolroom. An area out back has tables and umbrellas where drinks can be taken outside. The parking lot is spacious, free, and monitored by cameras. Tournaments happen on Thursday night, Friday night keriokee, and Saturday night a live band. The rest of the week is devoted towards cards and APA League pool. Prices are a bit high for pub food, but service is great and it is never overly crowded. The only issue is that the environments usually have to be less than idyllic, but here the competition stays on the table.
