“Best Bread has for years served the best falafel sandwich in Atlanta. Everything is made fresh and served on the lightest pillow soft pita bread you ever tasted. They have a good thing going and I have enjoyed their food very much over the years.Today Best Bread has just taken it to the next level. I got there late and the falafel was all gone. I was disappointed but decided to make the best of the situation and picked up a few baked goods.There was a sheet pan on the shelf with one incredibly tasty looking almond croissant on it. The moment I tasted it I felt like I was in Paris at a small family run bakery that had been making croissants for multiple generations. Enjoying this delicious pastry was such an incredible experience. Let’s just hope that they make this delicious treat again! Will definitely get there early next time.Cheers!“

“Sub Base, in the early 90s, was the absolute best sandwich you could get. Fresh baked bread piled high with all the "fixings". It's been a long time since I had the opportunity to re-visit the place (35 years) and I gotta say... DAMN IF They Don't STILL HAVE A GREAT SANDWICH!! The current owners, for the last 14 years, Not only kept the Sammy the best but they added Dandy Donuts. AND THEY ARE KILLER TOO! Hot and fresh just like the sandwiches. Nobody in Atlanta beats their Cubans. Havana, D’Cuban, all the other popular spots are good, but Buena Gente is the best around.

If you’re not feeling a Cuban though, that’s totally fine. DO NOT miss out of the guava pastelitos. The flakiness of those bad boys is on par with the croissants from Little Tart, but that guava filling takes it to the next level.

The ham croquetas, the beef empanadas (chicken is good too but the beef is stellar), and the papas rellenas are insane. Their cafe con lecce is of course great as well, as are their other coffee options.

Suffice it to say, if you come here wanting one thing, you will end up leaving with a box full of everything when you end up wanting it all (and for good reason).

“The line stays out the door on the weekends, and for good reason. Evergreen’s pastries are on point. I tried 5 different pastries and would recommend every single one. They had 3 different pumpkin pastries (during the fall) for the basic bishes (I got all three). Their meat pies are stuffed. Want vegetables? Go elsewhere; here, it is about bread, meat, and sweets. They have vegetarian options, but it’s a butcher shop, so set expectations accordingly. The prices are totes worth it.

There is no seating indoors or outdoors, but Evergreen is located in the Kirkwood retail area, so grab a pastry and go for a lil walk. The area is cute and safe. Dress is casual, or however you want to look walking around.

There is easily accessible free street parking, and there is also unofficial stroller parking in front of the shop. There were 3 strollers lined up out front. One mother jokingly asked her baby if she wanted to stay outside in the stroller while she went into Evergreen. Guess she feels super safe in the area or is over the kid. Who knows?“

“I went into Rhodes Bakery for the first time to order a cake for my bridal shower. I was a bit nervous because I had never tasted their cakes and wanted my shower to be right. I immediately felt at ease when I was greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smile. after talking through my ideas, I decided on a strawberry cake with simple floral decorations. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The cream cheese icing had the perfect sweetness and the cake was moist and fluffy. Everyone at the shower raved about the cake. “I’ve been recommended this cafe for a bit now. It’s definitely a nice study spot with each set of tables being near an outlet and the wide variety of different bakery items. It’s a bit pricey than what I’m used to though. I got a large taro frappe. I like how you can have up to three toppings. The frappe was more of a slush but it had a good taro flavor! Sadly, a good third of my drink was toppings so glad I didn’t get all 3 (I got aloe Vera and grass jelly with it).

There’s plenty of parking and I like the ambience of it- modern and simple decor. Tables looked clean.“

“The owner is a lovely lady who is passionate about her cakes! She and her husband learned their skills from years of training in Japan. Their ingredients are pure and simple, which, surprisingly creates a complex array of tastes that you get from each bite. Hands down the best Mille Crepe cakes I’ve ever had! The lavender is so amazingly delicate and light. The red velvet is unique, with a strong coffee & chocolate flavor combined with velvety cream cheese layers. The Dulce de Leche is just spot on and definitely recommended for those who like their pastry sweeter. The matcha has an authentic Japanese flavor, delicate and not too sweet.
