Don’t let the outside appearance fool you! At first, the place almost looked closed, and since it’s located inside a gas station, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect.
I ordered the jerk chicken, and the food came out absolutely amazing. The flavor was excellent, and I really enjoyed every part of my meal. This is definitely one of those places where you should not judge it by the look of the building.

I discovered A Taste of the Island by accident a few months back and I have been on it ever since. Every time I go, the service is good. The food is fresh, and the price point is a great value for the portion size and quality of food.
My go-to quick meal is a Beef Patty with Coco Bread. Now, the beef patties are good and flavorful so you gotta get them early as they usually run out during the day (I get two when I go). The coco bread is always thick, fresh and very buttery....read full review

Absolutely delicious food. I've been coming for years and I've never been disappointed at staff or food. Top notch Caribbean food.
