“Two store clerks saved me from getting nasty convenience store food. Pointed me to the this food truck. The couple that was running the truck made me feel like I was family. Super nice people. I ordered brown strew chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage on one plate and Curry chicken, rice and peas, and yams. When I say that me and my guy loooooved this food!!! I had to come to Google to see if I could look this place up. A must try!!!“

This place offers the best prices for lunch specials in the entire state of Georgia, and to top it off, the flavor competes with restaurants that charge much higher prices. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is always kind and helpful. I truly feel like this spot is underrated. They take great pride in their craft while also contributing to the local community and economy. This has become our go-to Jamaican place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful meals at unbeatable prices.“

“The music playing outside of the restaurant is what originally caught my attention. I love reggae music. I then looked online to see what options were available and the food looked amazing. I am vegan, so I was extremely excited to see a vegan option on the menu. I walked in and was instantly greeted with a smile and assisted by the nice gentleman behind the counter. I ordered the coconut curried chickpea plate with rice and peas (I requested jerk sauce on my rice), veggies and plantain. All I can say is that the chef did not miss! Very tasty food. I will be back.“

“I was very surprised at the inside aesthetic of this place as I am not a fan of the outside look of the Plaza. However, I do go to the cleaners in this plaza all the time. Very nice inside and very nice greeting from cashier. She helped me understand what was the specials for the day and went over the menu. Everything clean and fresh. Decent pricing and again they have specials. The brown stew chicken, oxtails, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains were all good. I was very pleased that I received quality taste from the first five items I tried. I really wanted the fried fish, but she told me to try it Escoviche style which was more expensive, but she says it comes with onions and sauce. The onions and carrots were very spicy and the snapper tasted like it had been cooked earlier and got dried out. I would have preferred a fresh battered fried red snapper. The cocoa bread taste like a regular roll. The beef patty was tasty, but when I look inside, I didn’t prefer the look so I didn’t finish it. The banana bread just didn’t push fully like true banana bread more like a box cake with banana in it. The pineapple upside down cake taste like a regular cake with the canned pineapple and jar cherries- it didn’t push like my mother‘s- It taste like an attempt. The bread pudding was the most transformed dessert. I like the raisins in it and it’s cut well portioned. It was fair. Because of the fish, bread, beef patty, and desserts. I would rate this place maybe a 4.5. The things I didn’t like can be upgraded easily so I would recommend this place. I feel like Jamaican restaurants all have the same menu. The sides are always rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. I love when a restaurant stands out with a unique methods and vegetables. I know when you are new to opening, you may not want to make too many options while traffic is lower but options and uniqueness along with good advertising can drive traffic This restaurant is not on the main road so you’d have to pass by it or someone tell you about it. Only 3 shops in this plaza are open typically. I’m sure it will start coming up in your food searches near as Jonesboro is quite the food desert. Low vibrational food and over policing All around by design. If this place can keep up the authentic cuisine/great value while driving traffic, then they should hang around and do well. I’ve come back 3 times for the oxtails and cabbage

Parking: Free parking in the plaza, very easy access. The pet grooming, and the cleaners are typically the only other shops open.“

“The food tasted good. I had the curry chicken and white rice with cabbage and a beef patty. The only thing I didn't like was that there was very little gravy. The chicken tasted good but had almost no gravy on it. The patty was good and perhaps the best thing I got. It's attached to a gas station which I was not expecting but the cashier was friendly. Overall I like it. Not the very best in the metro area but pretty good.“

“Looking for a jerk restaurant for my dad and I moving from Chicago (best food ever ?) to Georgia.The reviews did not lie!! Food was delicious! Servings were nice sized and the people were friendly. That jerk sauce is bomb!!My only drawback was the chicken could have been grilled a little longer…that didn’t stop dad and I from finishing our plates!“

“BEST gotdamn rice and peas I've had in a long while. I get it with ox tail gravy and I also get the cabbge. I mix the two. It's super good. I tried the ginger drink that's made in house and it's reallly good, almost better than when I juice myself. I'm not one to write reviews if I do it's because something is eitehr that good or that bad. This is that good. I live down the street for years and work in the area and never knew they were there. Glad I found this place.“

The music or talking for background voice needs to be Serius XM for enjoyable Caribbean music that's constant.

Local gossip is that they may be moving, so I'll follow. It's interesting because I used to live in Toccoa and live in Toccoa now. So I had favorite restaurants from when I lived there. Now it's top on my list.

“I've had my eye on the Kingston Grill ATL for a while now. Today, I finally made it there. The food was absolutely amazing. The oxtails, escovitch snapper and brown stew chicken were incredible. My wife and son also enjoyed the food. The rum punch and mango lemonade...OMG. We traveled from Lithonia and it was well worth it. We will be coming back and we highly recommend.“

“This curry chicken is soo good. The peas and rice with curry is the bomb, meal in itself. I got my wife the brown stew chicken, which she loves. My first time trying a side of cabbage and salt fish, OMG! I usually treat myself to a side of calaloo and salt fish. Check out Jamrock on Metropolitan. Great Jamaican food. Lol, no cow cod soup or mannish water.“
