It reminds me of the egg rolls in Florida. Not that fake store bought shit. I hate that. I haven't tried their actual food yet but I see it says NY style Chinese & that's all I needed to see.
Maybe on the weekends when I'm not working, I'll try their food but their egg rolls are to DIE for.“

“Ordered pork buns and orange chicken on DoorDash. Best orange chicken and rice I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly crispy and sauce was great. Rice was lovely. Pork buns were fine, nothing wrong with them, but was expecting more of a cha siu bun, but it was more like a potsticker filling, but that’s on me because they were advertised accurately. I hate DoorDash, but this was one of the best things I’ve got from them.“

“I got the lunch special of twice cooked meat and it only costs like 12 dollars with a hot sour soup side for only 1 dollar. The service is really good, checking in from time to time. The barbecue is not available until around 5/6pm. So if that’s what you are looking for, wait until dinner time.
The hot sour soup is really good. The meat is bit fatty and porky.
In general, it’s not bad. The only downside for me is that the restaurant doesn’t have much sunlight in the afternoon.“

“I was in the area for a friend's birthday and I was hungryyyyyyyyy. As I was heading to my car I passed Wok Chi. Their QR menu was on the window so I scanned it. After taking a scroll I decided to place an order. Walking in, the restaurant is very clean and made great use of the space. The bar is directly in front of you and the tables are to your right. It’s very cute with a simple design and a few eye-catching placements throughout the area. I walked up to the ordering area and was immediately greeted. The young lady was very pleasant and welcoming. I placed my order for 6 Wings, Thai Chili, with Pork Fried Rice, paid and took a seat at the bar to wait on my food. The ambiance is very chill. The music was at a perfect volume as I was still able to hear my conversation, the staff was laughing and engaging with one another, and the bar seats were super comfortable. My food arrived and was super fresh. As I placed my order to go, I was excited that I could smell my food through the container. Opening my container, the visual appeal was nice. The plate was well packed and the portion size was perfect for the price point of the meal. Now… the Food! The wings were amazing. Though they were light in color, they were crispy on the outside and juicy and hot on the inside. The flavor profile of the Thai Chili sat well on the fresh wings. The sweetness wasn’t too sweet and put me in the mind of a honey glaze. The chili flakes were present but not too spicy. There were some good wings. I would definitely come back for more. The rice was a bit too eggy for me. I’m accustomed to egg being in fried rice, however, the eggs overpowered the rice and pork. After two bites I was unable to adjust to the over-powering egg presence and decided not to eat the rice. All in all, I’ll be back for the wings.“

“Mannnnn listen looks can be deceiving this food is soooooo good and so flavorful the shrimp fried rice is so buttery and they use big shrimp and give you enough for 2-3 people the beef pho was also really flavorful i was shocked ! I really enjoyed it ! Pricey but worth it and they were kind !“

“Golden Gate is a gem that is known to Forest Park locals , but deserves wider recognition. I’ve been eating here for a good 15 years myself , and I was late to the party .
I just eat the Americanized stuff myself, but for those wanting they have authentic Mandarin and Cantonese dishes as well. I always see a large contingent of Chinese and other Asians dining here .

The hot and sour soup and the General Tso’s chicken are both the best I’ve ever had , also I really like the Pepper Steak and the Golden Gate Sizzling delight . The rice is perfect .

The folks here are so nice , and you get a really generous portion for a very reasonable price !

“The food here is really good, especially for the price and large size portions. It's not fancy but It's american style Chinese food done well, it's the best Chinese food restaurant in the area I've eaten at. Also the burger is pretty good, it's a premade patty but it's delicious and better than any fast food. It has a really backyard BBQ taste to it, better than cookout across the street imo. I get food from here weekly. The Lo Mein is especially good!!! but heads up they use bean sprouts which I omit. The mix burger with fried rice is a staple, I remove the chicken nuggets and eat them with the rice and cut up the hotdog and it back on the burger which is really good btw. It's a large meal for 12 bucks or whatever and delicious. The Cheese steak here is surprisingly good, I get no mustard but you can do what you like 🙂“

“Just got out of school and was looking for something to eat, saw this place online and took a gamble and I’m glad I did. Everything was cooked well and seasoned well. I ordered sweet & sour chicken with rice and broccoli on the side. The chicken had a good taste and a nice crunch and the sweet & sour sauce that came with it was very good and tangy. My broccoli had other veggies and some soy sauce poured on top which wasn’t too salty but wasn’t bland either, I enjoyed every veggie. I would’ve given 5 stars if my rice was seasoned a little more but overall I had a good experience and there portions sizes are very nice!“

“I grew up on China Cafeteria in the West End but overtime its quality went downhill. With getting tired of eating at the same restaurants, I checked out the reviews for this location. Surprisingly, they were good. I went and the customer service was absolutely phenomenal. The young guy that works in there has the most positive attitude and good conversation. The food taste like what I remember from childhood. The lemonade is a must have! The place is very old and outdated which is normally a turnoff. If they would do something about its appearance, I guarantee it'll bring in more customers. For a quick, cheap meal, this is a go to every now and then. This location does not serve lo mein :(“

“Let me let y’all know about this Chinese spot!!! I originally moved here being a native New Yorker and had a taste for some chicken and broccoli. Seemed like the other restaurants wasn’t hitting. I decided to give them a try after being in GA for about 2 months. Everything about them is customer service. Friendly welcomes, patience and most importantly FRESH and HOT food. They honestly are the only ones I go to and been loyal to from the time I moved here back in 2017. Not a buffet not another Chinese restaurant just China One. I have now relocated to another part of GA after living in Clayton county for about two years and I drive to them and spend my money with them faithfully for that taste that I want. If y’all don’t know now y’all know (in the words of Biggie Small) I totally approve and stand behind this restaurant especially if I’m driving 45 to an hour out just to get me my lunch special which if y’all go between the hours of 10-3:30 only available Tuesday thru Friday they offer that same quality food they make on a regular for a very affordable price and they hook the plates up. They know me on a family level! 🤣 When I walk in they know me for the no bamboo shoot and extra sauce on the side. Making me feel good because I am a committed woman. 3/22/26 Update: I've been eating from here since 2021 when I first moved to ATL and I still do. SOLID GOOD FOOD EVERY SINGLE TIME!! MY ORDER HAS NEVER BEEN WRONG! THE PORTIONS ARE ALWAYS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! EVERYTHING IVE TRIED ON THE MENU IS A1 (MEI FUN, LO MEIN, CURRY FRIED RICE, MONGOLIAN CHICKEN, MANDARIN FRIED CHICKEN & THOSE AMAZING CRAB RANGOON!!! WE HAVE OUR OWN RESTAURANT NOW AND I STILL COME BACK HERE WHEN IM IN ATL!!! 😁😁😍🤩🤗🥵🥺💥🤌🏾🫶🏾👀🤸🏾‍♀️... will update with photos when I get home with my food.“

“Great place, came through as part of the carnival and craved Chinese food. Place was practically across the street, it looks like most other Chinese food restaurants and the food was ready in 15 minutes. Honey chicken was perfect, fried rice was better than any other place I've been, and the wonton soup was more al dente than anywhere I've been but I think I prefer a wonton dumpling that stays on the fork rather than a soft one that won't stay on the fork or chopsticks. I'll be back regularly while we are here and probably next year as well.“

“I was treated by a friend to Mr Everything and let me tell you. IT WAS EVERYTHING and SOME! I had the Chicken Over Rice dish. I'm tempted to drive the 40 minutes back over there to order more. The food smelled so good and the presentation of the dish was nicely put together. My mom taught us presentation is everything. The food was seasoned perfectly. If you haven't tried Mr. Everything, I recommend that you do because it was "fire" which to young people is pretty darn cool.“

“Good and cheap Chinese food spot. It reminds me a bit of China Express AKA “dollar scoop”. They advertise their food as 1 scoop for either $1.50 or $1.75 (I can’t quite remember). I was able to get a plate with lo mein, black pepper chicken, bourbon chicken, butter shrimp and a spring roll for under $10! All the food was delicious except for the spring roll. It was hard and had too much ginger or something inside it. I’ve visited twice recently and had good experiences. But I will say it pays to order in person, because the first time I used doordash to order online and go pick it up myself and it was almost $6 more for the same amount of food!“
