Cafe Le Rue @ The Landings offers a taste of Bourbon Street with delicious Cajun dishes and enormous portions. The quaint atmosphere with Cajun/Creole decor takes visitors to Louisiana. The owner is very nice, but the service can be hit or miss. Despite some uninterested staff, the food is delightful and tasteful, with the shrimp and grits being a standout dish. Many guests have praised the Catfish & Grits as top tier and enjoyed the Mardi Gras Pasta, which leaves diners full and satisfied. The restaurant also offers mimosas in flavors like Mango and Watermelon, perfect for brunch or relaxing drinks. The staff, including friendly servers, ensure a good dining experience, and the food is known for its authenticity. Seating is limited, but the patio is lovely in good weather, making it a great spot for enjoying a meal with mimosas by the pitcher or a special dish like Low Country Boil, which can be prepared with a day's notice. Recent visitors have praised the staff, especially Kelly, for excellent service and recommendations, such as the tots appetizer. The gumbo, seasoned perfectly, has also received high praise. Overall, Cafe Le Rue remains a charming place with great atmosphere, good Southern hospitality, and tasty Cajun cuisine that reminds guests of New Orleans.
