My wife and I live out of town and our daughter is in college in Columbus so for her birthday we took her to Cafe Le Rue as we didn't want a chain restaurant. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon there were no other customers in the restaurant (hint #1) so I asked the owner was he open and he said yes - so in a few minutes, two more of our guests showed up. Many guests have praised the Catfish & Grits as top tier and enjoyed the Mardi Gras Pasta, which leaves diners full and satisfied. The restaurant also offers mimosas in flavors like Mango and Watermelon, perfect for brunch or relaxing drinks. The staff, including friendly servers, ensure a good dining experience, and the food is known for its authenticity. Seating is limited, but the patio is lovely in good weather, making it a great spot for enjoying a meal with mimosas by the pitcher or a special dish like Low Country Boil, which can be prepared with a day's notice.
