The food has always been good as well as the service. Our family has eaten here as long as I can remember and I got food for my mom there tonight and she is enjoying it. She asks for Macon Road BBQ every couple of weeks. When our folks that live out of town visit it is always on the top of their list of favorite local places to eat.
This was my first time visiting Macon Road Barbeque. I ordered the Chicken Plate combo with baked beans and macaroni & cheese and Ribs. My husband ordered the Rib sandwich. When I got home and opened the containers. The Chicken was black hard and over cooked, and the food was Ice cold. The Ribs were tough and hard. I came in this establishment today…it was only my 2nd time visiting. I asked the lady that was taking orders for a loaded potato with chicken. I think it’s called a big daddy tater or something. I don’t eat pork…haven’t eaten it for over 7 years. I asked for extra cheese on the side, which she said I couldn’t get (why I do not know…as long as I paid for it) and extra sour cream.
