Educational, interesting, historical.
Amazing display of historical artifacts and information. I loved the ethnic breakdown in the museum. The fort area is well kept. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. A must see in the Low Country. Most beautifully instances case of a preserved fortification involving this country’s beloved history.

Visitors recommend going when the ground is dry, as paths can become muddy after rain. The exhibits are well explained and well maintained, ensuring a pleasant experience. The employees are helpful, and there are public bathrooms and vending machines available. An admission fee is required to see all that the site offers, but many find it worth the price after experiencing the exhibits and the natural beauty of the area. It is advised to bring insect repellent, a water bottle, and possibly an umbrella for comfort during the visit. The site is perfect for nature and history lovers, offering a quiet and reflective experience.
