“I love the atmosphere, drinks and food. Service was great. It is a bit on the expensive side, however the main dishes are elevated fine dining. I had Seabass marinated in Miso and served with perfectly prepared accoutrement. My wife had the Scallops, with squash puree, delicious. I did not have the more ubiquitous Mexican offerings like the Tacos so I can't comment on those. I have a hard time spending that mush on a Taco , however if the mains were any indication of the preparation I am sure it was elevated. They also have two family style dishes , a chicken and beef birria that I was told can serve 5 or more. That is a good value if you went with your family. I would defiantly give this place a try.“

“This place is legit on Funk Fridays. Loved the outdoor seating area and the staff was super informative and friendly. The grazing board was delicious and unique in the arrangement of cheeses and meats. Great ambiance. The flies got a little crazy gathering around your food and drink if you sit outside. So be sure to get a table fan to keep them away if you sit outside, as that was helpful for us! We loved the funky wine flights and the great selection of wine! The side saddle burgers were juicy and delicious as well. Unfortunately the chicken wings left a lot to be desired in terms of texture and flavor. The green chimichuri sauce they top the wings with was too oily and it just seeped into and overpowered the wings.“

I had the braised beef short ribs that came with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The meat was super fork pull apart tender, mashed potatoes well seasoned, and collard greens like somebody’s Grandma was making them in the kitchen.

My wife and I also had the collard greens cheese dip and the Kung Pao Brussel sprout for an appetizer. Both appetizers were delicious and more than enough for 2-3 people.

If ever at the West End, going out for a date night, or looking for a place to grab a meal and chill before taking a short walk on the beltline please checkout Boxcar they won’t let you down.“

“This place was great! After an experience next door we crashed here and was NOT disappointed. We were greeted and reviewed the menu. Ordered the eggplant parmesan, meatballs, pizza and wine. We sat at the bar in front of the wood fire ovens. Got to watch our meals being prepared and had the most pleasant conversation with the pizza makers. The meatballs were FIRE! They were amazing, wonderful combo of meats and hand made…AMAZING. The pizza was also just the best pizza I have had in a long time. They finish with actual Italian olive oil which took the experience to another level. Then oh whoa almost forgot about their dessert. We ordered the pistachio cake and tiramisu. WOW, the dessert was simply beautiful and perfect amount of sweetness. Everything was fresh and amazing. All the employees there were wonderful welcoming and kind. Such a great place! There’s a lot of range of wines bottled or draft, but I don’t really drink that frequently. Sake selection is also solid. Can’t sample here since it looks like it’s a package store, but seasoned bartenders usually give solid recs and can help point you in the right direction. “I don't know why the other reviewer, SS, is lying about the kitchen never being open. I go there every other day between 10am and 130pm and have never, ever been told the kitchen was closed. They make my special order breakfast sandwich perfectly for me every time!

I assume SS showed up a few minutes before closing when they were told the kitchen was closed and wanted to vent their frustration, but that doesn't mean they should make up stuff about a business.

It started with a beautiful display of rose petals in the shape of a heart with an anniversary card, signed by the staff. “I believe this restaurant is located inside the Ritz-Carlton. They don't validate parking for the garage (which was only $10.99), but they do validate for valet. The restroom wasn't ideal, no tissue and the soap scent wasn't great but it's located outside of the restaurant itself. Once inside, though, the ambiance made up for it. The décor is lovely with white Christmas lights hanging from the windows, giving it a cozy, romantic vibe. There's live music on Friday and Saturday nights around 6:30 p.m., and the singer was fantastic. K said dinner felt like a scene from a rom-com. Our server wasn't as friendly as K would have liked, but he was attentive and responded nicely to us throughout the meal. We started with the potato soup, which was piping hot and served in a deep bowl, very generous and delicious. The crab salad followed, and I was worried I'd be too full, but it was light and flavorful. I had the trout with potatoes and substituted Brussels sprouts. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the sprouts were nicely crisp. K ordered the beef with mashed potatoes and a side of broccolini, which had a smoky flavor with a bit of a kick. I actually liked the broccolini more than K did, it was unique and really tasty. For dessert, we shared the apple tart with vanilla ice cream. I thought it was light and lovely, but K wasn't a big fan since he prefers traditional apple pie. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner: great atmosphere, excellent food, and perfect for a date night.“

The key lime pie is not in the standard of this restaurant, all the rest is ice cream and sorbets. The restaurant should really put a better selection on the dessert menu. It's the last taste guests leave with. We love this restaurant and will highly recommend it, just please change your dessert menu.“
