LOVE the ZA. We have been going to Hitching Post for a couple years now. Great pizza and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, but pizza has nice thin crust and LOTS of toppings for the perfect combination. Also, the owners actually work there and we always love supporting local small business. Thanks for being a staple of Ellijay.

If you're looking for a sandwich, whether a sub or sliced bread, you can't do better than The Hitching Post! My personal favorite is the turkey sub! You have the tenderness, juicy turkey, thin-sliced and piled high with lettuce, tomatoe, white American cheese, mustard and mayo...yum! Hitching Post Package Store is a local favorite in Ellijay, known for their delicious pizza and sandwiches. The thin crust pizza with generous toppings is a hit, and the service is so friendly. The 'Special' pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, green olives, and black olives is absolutely fabulous, with plenty of toppings all the way to the edge. The wings are also fabulous. It is truly the best pizza, with massive amounts of toppings and a nice thin crust. The drive-thru option adds convenience for take-out, and the great beer and wine selection is a bonus. The old-school cool vibe and friendly staff make dining here a pleasant experience. A must-visit spot for fantastic food in Ellijay.
