Much better than expected and a fantastic value!My wife and puppy were along for the ride so we sat outside and it is nothing exceptional, but it got the job done. Our server was Kaia and she most excellent! Honest about items on the menu and that is always appreciated!I had the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, my wife had the sandwich with homemade pickles and both were served with fries. The chicken sandwich was EXCEPTIONAL! I eat a LOT of chicken sandwiches, and this one is stuck in my head! It was that damn good! The fries had potential, but they were cool and not fresh. My wife liked their ranch but I was not a huge fan. We got 2 fresh baked cookies to go and again, MOST EXCELLENT!! Our bill was extremely reasonable and we were thrilled with the experience!! The only real negative was the old hostess lady was kind of rude and not who I would want greeting guests…Seriously great chicken sandwich! I hope to have an excuse to be in town again soon! Very strongly seasoned with cumin and other spices, though, so be aware if that's not your thing. The onion dill sauce that came with them was not so flavorful, though. Basically just a slightly sweet greek yogurt was all we could taste.Beer selection is fantastic, but again, prices are steep (although some of the beers they serve are steep even at retail prices).Overall, I certainly wouldn't be sad to go here again, but next time I'm in Augusta I think I'd prefer to try some place else.“

“We went on a Sunday before going to watch the new Dune sequel at noon so it was absolutely jam-packed with the after church crowd, which is to be expected of course. Not only were they super efficient at getting everyone to a table as quickly as possible, but they had someone acting as a hostess and keeping everything organized and running smoothly, even though when we first got there it was literally standing room only. The food is always awesome at this waffle but my waitress was the real star. She was one of the best waitresses I've had, no kidding. I wish I could remember her name but she was so quick but never seemed rushed or overwhelmed and had the most graceful, easy way about her. She also went out of her way for us more than once without blinking an eye, even in the midst of that packed Sunday morning crowd. It was last Sunday that we went, so the 17th of March and she was probably in her early 20s or 30s? Hard to guess because her skin was the most beautiful flawless caramel color and it made her look young, but her grace made her seem older! I only mentioned these details in hopes that maybe their manager will see this and give her a raise or something I was compelled to tip her 30 something dollars on a 20 something dollar tab she was honestly such a sweetheart!“

Started off with a sazerac (which is their oldest bourbon drink) and Rockefeller oysters. The Sazerac is definitely a strong drink which paired well with the oysters. As for the main meal........ Grilled Sea Bass Charleston with Cast Iron Sea Scallops and brocollini! Man this fish was so smooth and lightly creamy, it just melted on your tongue. So flavorful and filling. Squeezed a little of the lemon on top and it was perfection. Like I said earlier, this place is on the pricey side. For me alone, it cost me $170. That was me not asking for more bourbon. The scallops were extra on the dish to be added, so that brought the price higher too. All in all, a great experience and even better server. If I would come back to this location, it would solely be to have Warren as our server. He made the night so much better for the experience by being himself. He made the night so special, even though we were celebrating a birthday, we literally closed the place down. He opened up in conversation and the rest was history. We ended up leaving an hour and a half after they scheduled to close because he wanted to ensure we were taken care of. To have a server bring the best ambience to our environment, was so special to have. I will promise you, if you go to this restaurant, ask for Warren to be your server. You won't be disappointed!!! “Waffle House is our go to place for breakfast whenever we travel the southern corridor. This trip it was this location that impressed us. We were reluctant to stop because it was Sunday mid-morning and there were lots of vehicles outside, but as we drove into the parking lot, three were just leaving. While the place was crowded, we were able to be seated at the end of the counter with a view of the "cooking operations."As an efficiency nut (Waffle House is one of the most efficient operations out there!), I was delighted to watch this crew work. In most Waffle Houses wait staff call out the order to the cook. At this place, because there were so many waiters, they used a "caller." Wait staff placed their order slips in sequence in front of the caller. One by one, he'd call the order to the cook--clear, loudly, and concisely--and set up the plates (with "code" arrangement of condiments, WH's unique language). It worked like a manufacturing production line!After our waitress (Mary) took our order, she make sure the caller knew my order of "over light" eggs was to my specifications ("runny yellow, very soft white, no brown!"). And the cook got it perfect! And the waffle was done to perfection as well. Light, fluffy, hot, tasty.This Waffle House location is on my list of "must stop" establishments the next time I'm out that way. Great job, Team and Management!“
