“I am looking to potentially move to the Chattanooga area and this place caught my eye! Used books and coffee?! Yes please! I spoke with the owner/operator while I was ordering. She told me that her grandmother opened the store initially for used books, but those don't pay the bills (!) so when she sees people finding books here instead of just coming for the coffee that makes her so happy! There's lots of space and many different seating options. I recently started writing a book and this is the perfect place for that- or any work that needs to get done. Plus, $5 used books are a deal! I ACCIDENTALY got 7....and a latte. I'll be back for sure!! I put that I spent $1-10 for the coffee but I did buy 7 books. Just wanted to clarify!Parking: Free street parking! However, I came here on the heels of a winter storm, so there were not as many people out. Either way, it was easy to park.Kid-friendliness: There is a lot of space that is carpeted that would be great for kids to play on the ground. There are multiple different kinds of seating options too!Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space between tables and plenty of room. On the first floor.“
“This is one of the view greatest, neatest, locally owned places in downtown Chattanooga that's a must to visit. If you're looking for a unique, quaint locally owned place with an awesome atmosphere, cool decor, great service and the best food ever - you MUST visit here. All the food is fantastic but I'd recommend the King Baked Chicken! It's not served all the time, but when it's on the menu it's a MUST also.Wheelchair accessibility: There's no steps so entry is no problem. And the tables and chairs can be moved out of the way easily to pull up to the table.“
“The food was great. It was out in a timely manner, and the servers were on top of everything. I got the patty melt, with the home frys, which was fantastic. The location was a bit tough to get to, but the atmosphere inside the Cafe was amazing. If I'm ever back in town I'd love to stop by again.“
“Traveling on a Monday we chose to stop at Real Roots for a late lunch with planned leftovers for dinner before checking into our hotel. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We were happy to find they had a dog-friendly patio because we were traveling with our little dog. It was a coolish spring day and were craving soup as an appetizer. My husband chose a cup of red lentil and quinoa chili, I chose a cup of the butternut squash soup. Both were perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The chili was topped with micro greens and a cheesy sauce, the butternut squash soup was topped with sliced scallions. We both chose the recommended Chick-un burrito sandwich and tortilla chips- a filling and delicious main.“
“This place was perfect for a casual vegan dinner and drink on the weekend! Ashley was so kind and helpful to us while we hung out. I got the Culture Club, which was the only club I’ve been able to have since going vegan, and it was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!“
“It is worth the wait. Don't miss out on this great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. The food is so good, it's hard to choose. It may not look like much from the outside but when you step in the place is great, so much character from top to bottom. Great for a group of just a couple of you, you will enjoy!“
“Such a cute spot! My favorites: Mint iced tea, poppyseed chicken, chicken & broccoli, carrot raisin muffins. The casseroles are great for dine in, carry out, or take and bake. It’s a great meal if you need to take dinner to someone or for an easy “homemade” meal that you didn’t have to make yourself. They also have a full spread of treats. The kids love picking something off the counter. Great outdoor dining.“
“This was our first time. We went to the location at Cherokee Blvd. LOVED the French toast and Farm Stand tacos. But we were placed right between two other families and felt like I was at their table. It was really loud and I struggled to talk to my husband for hearing the conversation within elbows reach of me.“
“Might be my new food spot. Food is amazinggggg. And the fresh juice are Service is amazing being super careful about gluten allergies.Atmosphere 20/10 met a stranger and talked for hours leaving as friend.Everything down to the energy in this place is beautiful.“
“This restaurant is the definition of SOUL. All of the food is scratch made goodness, and cooked fresh daily. Everything was delicious, all of the sides, all of the proteins, the breads. If you're a fan of down home southern goodness then do yourself a favor and check this.“
“If you’re on the Northshore or hanging out at Coolidge park, you have to check this place out! The owner always has a smile on his face and he works so hard everyday! It may not look like much compared to some of the bigger spots nearby, but the way you feel when you walk away from Mr. Bill’s cannot be replicated at the bigger stores!“
“Fantastic and kind of funky environment. Our server was wonderful and very efficient. I had the Mushroom omelette, it was delicious. Mom had a breakfast sandwich called the Hot Mess, she says it was fantastic. Chai tea lattes are nearly perfect. I will definitely go back. You should stop in for breakfast or brunch.“
“Wow! I had the rib plate with greens and fried tomatoes. Sister had rib sandwich with fried tomatoes. Got two fish sandwiches to go. Food tastes amazing, service was friendly, and the portions are very generous! Glad I got the fish sandwiches to have for supper. Yum!!“
“The coffee here was light and smooth, while the atmosphere was absolutely great. Right across the river from the bluff view art district, it takes advantage of its location next to the park and the bridge and creates a great atmosphere. The menu was also quite large too.“
“Finally got to stop in this coffee shop and had such a nice first visit. Looking forward to returning. The staff are very friendly and have excellent communication about products and verifying what you are ordering. They offer dairy alternatives for most components which provides customers even more options if they need to stay away from dairy. This visit, I tried one of their custom drinks--Caramel Dolce (frappe style with oat milk). It was delicious! Looking forward to trying more of their offerings next time I am down that way.“
“Service is great and very friendly, food is very good enjoy there Lasagna turkey ranch wrap desserts are very great Prices are great, nice and reasonable. If you go in ahead of time to order it is really for you when you pick it up. Great place to eat, cannot go wrong. Will be back to get another meal from them.“
“First visit here and it was awesome! The ladies were so helpful with helping me make a decision. So many good options to choose from! Got the combo, strawberry tea and death by chocolate protein shake. Both were delicious! I just wish they had a place like this closer to where I live (I live in NJ but am in Georgia visiting my cousin)!“
“I love their rapid pick up option. The food is always fresh and tasty. It's super easy to order on the app. Then when you arrive, you walk in and grab your order from the shelf. Sometimes I just send a teenager to grab it.Parking: Parking is great and they have reserved spots for take out orders. It's always open and easy to get one of the reserved spots. They're close to the door so you're in and out quickly.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. They love the smiley face cookies and the thumb print cookies especially. They also love the bagels and cream cheese.“
