“Great spot for BBQ along the riverfront. We had the ribs, pulled chicken sandwich, cornbread, coleslaw and Mac&cheese. Portions were large and everything we ordered was delicious. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is super cute with a great view. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.“

“My first time patronizing this restaurant was on Friday, July 7 of this year and I went twice in two days. That alone speaks volumes. The flavor is on point and heaping portions are served. There are a variety of menu items to choose from. It’s in a great location, and above all things, the customer service is absolutely delightful. The owner is very approachable and friendly, and his staff is very courteous.“

“This place is the perfect spot for a BBQ. You get the ideal combination of good food and great views. The service is slow and chaotic since it's a tiny spot in the street. However, dining here is worth it. I always order a couple of platters and share them with the table. The chicken and the ribs and some of their specialty sides are amazing.
Parking: If you can't find parking around the river, park in one of the hotels!“

“Ray recently catered our wedding at Red Gate Farms with a taco/nacho bar. The food and service was absolutely delicious and amazing. All of guest were more than happy with the food, and told us many times it was amazing. We would recommend Ray to anyone for any event!“

“Kind of a "hole in the wall" and by any means is that a bad thing but as we know these places always have the best food. Smokey's in Garden City and in my opinion has the best ribs ever. I also buy their sauce in jars I told her she should market it I have been going here at least 10 years. Tammy the owner is one of the best humans I've ever met, I got real sick a few years ago came in one day and couldn't hardly walk she gave me a hug and offered to take me to the doctor anytime I needed a ride, she is a wonderful Christian woman.“

“12 of us came in on Friday afternoon for lunch. We sampled a variety of appetizers. Excellent food and service. I had wings and they were great. Large portions so you will leave full and/or have some for another meal! Definitely recommend.“

“It started as a small comment while driving past in the middle of the night. “BARBECUE SHACK.” There, next to a convenience store, was a small wooden building marked BBQ Being from New York, there’s barbecue around... even good barbecue; but there is only so much that can go into the “big city restaurants”. Family is in the name, and family it is. We were treated as nothing less, and the love put into the food showed it. Massive portions, mouth watering tastes; several hours later, the full smoky flavors are still dancing in my mouth. I wish I had thought to take a picture, but when we’d had a taste... well, the rest of the platter didn’t last long enough anyways. Honestly, words can’t even properly express how happy this food makes me, and we’ll be making a point to come back whenever we’re in Savannah.“

“Listen I did have a little hiccup with the online ordering but they seemed to want to make it right and we will see but all that doesn’t compare to the flavor quality portion and price. You pay more at a “chain” for lower portions quality and taste. Definitely will continue to frequent as long as I’m in the area“

“The restaurant is away from downtown Savannah and has its own parking lot. Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Must try their fried green tomatoes and smoked Brussels sprouts! I didn’t care for the ribs, but the brisket was delicious. Shrimp and grits were good.“

“On our way to Florence SC from Punta Gorda , 2 hungry folks found this eatery about 3-4 miles off I95 at exit 109. Fred is having the senior hamburger steak and I am having tails off shrimp.“
