“We had a great time at District Smokehouse, but the absolute standout was our bartender, Taylor. She was incredible. She was handling what seemed like a dozen things at once, making drinks, taking orders, keeping track of everyone at the bar, and somehow still making sure nobody was waiting or forgotten. “5 Jun ‘26 Today the sun was hot as hell, stood in line about 20 minutes today with 7 people ahead of me when I got there and a dozen or more behind me when I left. Was worth the wait though. Delicious as usual. Slab of ribs for $20 is the best deal anywhere and my family enjoys the ribs every single time. Also the cook is a friendly hard working guy hope he knows that he’s appreciated. 1 April’26 2ish. 5 Stars. Stood in line for a while today but it was worth it. Got another slab of ribs for $25. I have lived in Savannah all my long life and traveled the world and I’m telling you that I have never had a better slab of ribs anywhere, not in this state or any other state. Randy’s ribs are tasty, tender, and cooked perfectly every time. Also Randy’s is generous with delicious sauce unlike most places that give you little condiment cup and charge you if you want more. 11 Mar ‘26 1:45ish. 5 Stars! So tired of overpriced fat tough ribs so today I decided to find a new place. Found this tiny run down place on Wheaton, probably at least a 100 year old building right on the road. You order at a window and go. No seating. Parking for maybe four cars if you drive over the curb. Meat and bread and bbq sauce only. Cash only. A full slab of lean tasty tender ribs and more than enough sauce for $25. Best price for the best ribs in town. See pic 1 and 2.“

“So I went to Uncle June’s not too long and it was so good I had to come back to T-Rex Barbeque, their sister food service. I was expecting to just go to T-Rex Barbeque but it turned out Uncle Junes was so tempting that T-Rex Barbeque led me back to Uncle Junes for a drink. That drink was so amazing. It was a Fine Feather Drink that was 10 dollars(yes that high quality) and was the Orange Ya Glad type. It tasted like orange juice with carrot juice. Perfect. Rich. Amazing. Now I got some smoked wings at T-Rex. See I told you Uncle Junes and T-Rex were married. The wings were Buffalo smoked wings. They came with celery sticks and ranch. It was so creative so healthy so amazing. I recommend 12 wings but get six if you want to be less in flight and angelic afterwards. That’s not a bad thing. You want to be more T-Rex like anyways, to say the glass is half full. The wings were so delicate in their taste, so deeply entrenched, subtle, yet rich that I felt I was in heaven. Actually, what ended up happening is I just ate everything like that and was so much in a fury that I just realized everything was eaten and I had a mess all over my face. So if you want to solve this mess continue to add to your experiences at Uncles Junes and T-Rex. I would recommend that once you’ve made that mess rush on over like that mess and grab some more whenever you can. I feel like it.“

“It started as a small comment while driving past in the middle of the night. “BARBECUE SHACK.” There, next to a convenience store, was a small wooden building marked BBQ Being from New York, there’s barbecue around... even good barbecue; but there is only so much that can go into the “big city restaurants”. Family is in the name, and family it is. We were treated as nothing less, and the love put into the food showed it. Massive portions, mouth watering tastes; several hours later, the full smoky flavors are still dancing in my mouth. I wish I had thought to take a picture, but when we’d had a taste... well, the rest of the platter didn’t last long enough anyways. Honestly, words can’t even properly express how happy this food makes me, and we’ll be making a point to come back whenever we’re in Savannah.“

“We had a wonderful dinner around 5 pm Thursday before it got too busy. This restaurant has a contract with the new Hyundai factory to feed the factory workers so the overall feel of the restaurant is different from your typical kbbq. I felt like I was in Korea eating a meal. The side dishes were different, (warm sauteed radish I think, sesame spinach, and fish cake) with a side of napa cabbage kimchi. We ordered the marinated beef and pork belly. We asked for lettuce for wraps. Instead they provide if you ask, a refillable lettuce onion salad with vinegar that also pairs well with the meat. We also received the steamed egg with our meal. The rice was the same kind I had in Korea- heukmi bap(Korean purple rice/black rice). For my husband and me, the amount of food was a great amount. I was very full! They were very sweet to give us a probiotic drink at the end of our meal to aid in digestion. Keep in mind that this place just opened about a month ago in October/ November 2023 and they are only open to the public for dinner. The main proteins I saw available were beef, pork, and eel. I do not recall chicken or tofu but there might have been a stew in the meals part of the menu. The meal will cost less if they cook for you but will cost more for you to cook at the table fyi. Ironic but that is how you kbbq so enjoy respectfully. Excellent hospitality. Will be back soon!“

“We visited Longhorns on 21 August 22. We had a minor issue arise and it was promptly handled. The GM, Heidi, came and made sure verything was to our satisfaction. She takes pride in her restaurant and it shows. Highly recommend.“
