“I think I’ve found where all the good chefs in Georgia went — Murphy’s Restaurant in Griffin, GA! This place is an absolute gem for breakfast and lunch (they close at 2 p.m.), and it captures everything you could want in a small-town dining experience.
If Anthony Bourdain were still with us, he would love it here — the food, the people, the atmosphere, and the pure authenticity. There’s a warm, old-fashioned, neighborly feel that makes you feel like you’ve been coming for years, even on your first visit. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and they make you feel like family.
We go so often now that we don’t even need a menu! Everything they serve is made with care and flavor. If you’ve never had a Torta, you’re missing an important part of life. Their tacos are heavenly, and the pancakes — I’m convinced — are the fluffiest on earth. Honestly, I’d have to list the entire menu to do them justice.
Murphy’s is the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants matter.“

“This is my favorite place hands down. I try something different every time I come and have yet to find something I don’t like. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. “Firstly I want to say thank you to this location for always presenting itself in the most professional fashion, secondly I want to thank the cooks for making such delicious food, and thirdly thank you to the waitresses for always having a smile on your face and for always being the most attentive waitresses I've ever seen at any single restaurant. This location has served my family for many years in the past and now that I've moved back, I can't wait to enjoy many more! Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in GA in my opinion! Keep up the good work and delicious food!“
