“The cashier was super knowledgeable and answered our questions regarding the menu. She even let us try the sauce that was going to be on our popcorn chicken. Which was excellent by the way. We got that and the cheese topokki soup. My only regret is that I didn't order more toppings. The flavor of everything was delicious and was only outshine by the service.“

“Love their wide selection of side dishes! Their tofu soup is packed with seafood, including a blue crab claw, which was a nice touch.
We also enjoyed the donkatsu with udon—it stays true to Japanese flavors, and they even give you a mortar to grind your own sesame seeds, which adds to the experience.“

“Dear Papa’s Dumpling Team,
I just wanted to take a moment to say how absolutely wonderful your restaurant is. Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the warmth of the atmosphere and the incredible flavors that come out of your kitchen.
Your dumplings, in particular, are truly exceptional—perfectly tender wrappers, delicious fillings, and that perfect balance of seasoning that makes every bite unforgettable. Whether steamed, fried, or in soup, they’re easily the best dumplings I’ve ever had!
Thank you for creating such a delightful dining experience.“

“Josh at the counter was very sweet and helpful. I stopped by the Duluth location after feeling dizzy from Chronic migraine that makes me nauseous and He was so patient and recommended a light meal for me. Not only that after hearing that I’m nauseous he offered me warm soup, which helped greatly as I was able to eat something for the day. On top of that, the food is 100/10 everything is so delicious here. Can’t wait to be back.“

“second time ordering from here, the food was alright but came out wrong. i asked for spam kimbap with the tempura taken out, i got spam kimbap with so much plain raw cabbage that’s not even in the original description. i got the rose tteokbokki and the picture/description both say there’s fish cake, but there weren’t any in mine. super disappointed :-(“

“Wife and family enjoy both locations, we prefer Suwanee location more
Good authentic Korean flavors
The bbq can be hit or miss depending if you get someone who knows how to cook
Kimchi 찌개 is always family favorite but Suwanee location has better kimchi overall“

They serve great mixed rice in a clay pot and grilled mackerel as well. Very friendly service. Highly recommended for authenticity and excellent taste.“

“I come here often, but today was the best service I have ever received. Many times, the waiters just rush and don't help you out. Today, my friend and I had the pleasure to be served by a young man named Justin. He was attentive, friendly, and helpful. If you go to eat here, definitely ask for Justin. My experience today was superior and I will definitely be coming back. Especially if they keep Justin.“

“Have you walked into the wrong restaurant but stayed anyways because of the ambiance of the place? That's what I did. I was supposed to meet my nephew at the Chili Spot but accidentally walked in through the wrong door. I rarely walk into the wrong restaurant but glad I did because this place is so hip and modern.
Speaking of atmosphere, the spacious ness of the place, the modern decor and vibe makes dining in a relaxing experience.
The food was delicious. Here's what we had:
SOON DUBU + PORK BBQ 순두부 + 목살구이
Choice of your soft tofu stew with stir-fry pork in soy-based sauce
SOON DUBU + LA KALBI 순두부 + LA갈비
Choice of your soft tofu stew with marinated short ribs.
We loved the combo along with the banchan (반찬).
The service was stellar. Our waitress, Jane was attentive, professional and patient. She answered all of our questions and made great suggestions.
Go check them out if you are looking for delicious food and excellent service.“

“We were looking for an easy dinner spot and, based on Google results, decided to give this place a try with little expectation. We’re glad we did. It’s a small restaurant with dark decor and simple tables, but the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered wings, skewers, a seafood pancake, and a seafood clear broth stew, and really enjoyed the meal. The seafood pancake was the best, crispy without being hard and full of flavor.“

“Dinners with dad, episode 874, later edition…from dinner the other night while visiting my parents…had already had an amazing breakfast…then an equally amazing lunch…but this pork belly and trotters weren’t going to eat themselves! This place gets more and more crowded each time we come…dad loves to talk about how much his youngest granddaughter loves this place…then says, ‘She might be the most Korean of the 3 grandkids…’ The pic of him laughing is after the server asked what type of soju he wanted…he said none but he could use one! I told him to order a bottle but he said no 🤪 If you like pork and spicy acorn noodles, this is your go to in Atlanta!“

“Every time I am anywhere near bb.q I make the time to go there, it is one of my favorite indulgences. Everything is so good, just amazing really and the staff is always so kind. Some of the little things about the experience make it even better too, like the handwashing station as you come in and leave and the little garbage can on the table to dispose of bones and napkins. One of my favorite places ever for sure.“

“You can really feel the pride in how this restaurant is run. The food is incredible especially the grilled meats and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. They even helped us with the grill and explained the best sauces to use. I left feeling full, happy, and appreciated. Can’t recommend this place enough!“

“We visit this restaurant roughly once a month. That’s how much we enjoy this place. Food is always excellent and service is good. They rotate through different side dishes (banchan), so it’s nice to see and try something different each visit. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for Korean food in the Duluth area!“

“My wife and I absolutely love CHOI’S GRILL BY CHEF JK… it’s definitely one of our faves! My mom was born in Seoul, Korea, so I grew up eating authentic Korean dishes and have a very discriminating palette. With that said, CHOI’S is totally legit Korean deliciousness. The food is always fresh and flavorful, the portions are generous, and the staff is incredibly kind with a strong spirit of servitude! Oh, and the SIDES are sooooo good. As you might imagine, we highly recommend CHOI’S and recommend them to others at every opportunity. They definitely deserve a FIVE STAR rating. ENJOY! 🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷“

“This place is great! Recommended to my friend and me by a Michelin chef.
The bulgogi and short rib were very flavorful and tender, and I loved all the condiments and veggies that came with it. Cha offered great recommendations and conversation. Almost felt like family was cooking for us.
I know this place isn’t high frills, but you can tell this place used to be the place back in the day. Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover. I will definitely be back“

“This was my very first Korean meal, and it could not have been a better experience! I had the spicy seafood kalguksu, and it was absolutely 😋 The seafood was fresh, the broth had just the right type of spicy kick, and the portion was huge. The restaurant itself has such a warm and welcoming ambiance, and everything was spotless. The owner was incredibly sweet and giving, which made me feel right at home. I also loved the thoughtful touch of having blankets available in case you get cold.....such a kind detail. A truly memorable meal, and I can’t wait to come back!“

“I saw this place on instagram and I saved it to my list of restaurants to eat while in Duluth. I came here before the Ateez concert and was not disappointed!! Everything was so good! I got the pepperoni pizza, chicken and some beer. It was definitely 10/10. Chicken was crispy and the pizza tasted like it came out of a brick over with a great cheese pull! I’m definitely pulling back up again. Staff was also nice and helpful!!“

“I ordered the jokbal 족발 (braised pork trotter) and soft tofu stew 순두부 찌개. The jokbal was tender, flavorful, and came with all the right sides for wraps, while the soft tofu stew was hot, silky, and perfectly seasoned to enjoy with rice. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, just like food from back home🥰 The atmosphere was cozy, the service was kind, and overall it felt like a truly authentic Korean dining experience. I’ll definitely return👍“

“Late Post! Dinners with Dad (and Mom) Lunch Edition, ep 854…cheating on this one because I had lunch with them last Saturday while visiting…then flew through Atlanta on my way home from meetings in Tampa and we ate here again! Over the last 25yrs, soon dubu jigae restaurants have come and gone in Atlanta but this one, a chain from Korea, is like eating a meal in Korea, splatter apron and all! The ttukbaegis make the jigae scalding hot for your entire meal…both times I left with no feeling on my tongue…if you are in the mood for some soon dubu jigae, this is your best bet in the metro Atlanta area! Give them a shot if you’re in the area, in the Assi Market center off Old Peachtree…“

“I can hardly remember if I’ve visited this restaurant before, which means it’s either been a very long time or this was my first visit, recommended by a group of friends from an association. Regardless, this humble neighborhood restaurant left a strong impression. Once popular in the heart of Doraville's old Koreatown, this spot carries a sense of nostalgia and is truly a hidden gem with a rich history. While it may not boast extravagant decor, the quality of the food speaks volumes. I particularly enjoyed the generous variety of side dishes (반찬), which were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The highlight of my meal was the fresh grilled sole fish (서대구이), perfectly cooked and accompanied by a hearty bowl of bean paste stew (된장찌개), both proudly recommended by the friendly and welcoming owner. Her genuine hospitality and attentive service added warmth to the dining experience, and it was heartwarming to see some of my friends recognize her from previous visits.
If you’re looking to experience authentic, homemade Korean cuisine in a modest yet charming setting that evokes memories of Korea's past, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a rare gem that preserves the flavors and traditions of old Korea, and I’ll definitely be returning to savor more of its offerings.“

“I would consider us regulars, eating here 1-2x/month. A little disappointed this go around. We ordered the toppoki, bulgogi quesadilla, and the harue kimbap. The bulgogi quesadilla was labeled as a “limited time” item and was pretty good! The fries it came with were a little undercooked and lacked that the crispy crunch. Harue kimbap = solid. The toppoki was overcooked—the rice cakes and ramen (that we paid extra for) were too chewy/soggy.“

“This is one of the best Korean catering companies that we have used at the office! We've had a lot of hit or misses catering companies in the past. The Korean Thanksgiving food was delicious! We have a multicultural office environment and some of the employees are picky. The picky employees hands down loved it! The owner spoke both Korean and English so it made my order so easy. Mrs. Kim was very sweet and threw in some extra goodies in the order. We will definitely order from The Banchan again for future catered orders. Everyone was hungry so we didn't take any pictures of the bulgogi, jjun, songpyeon rice cakes, chicken ggan jeon (these went fast and there were no leftovers of this chicken), japchae, odeng noodle salad, young radish kimchi, and melons. You can taste the TLC in each dish! Thank you!!!!“

“We used to come here many times when our kids were younger, and we recently stopped by again while our daughter was home from college. The place still has that classic Korean snack-bar vibe, we remembered. Since it was November, it felt a bit warm inside at first, but the friendly staff quickly turned on the AC for us, and we enjoyed a meal with the good temperature. The food tastes just as good as it always has, and honestly, it holds up really well compared to other franchise-style Korean snack spots. The prices looked a little high at first, but the portions are big, so it feels worth it. If you’re ever craving Korean street food, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Two thumbs up. 🙂“

“We ordered so much food and surprisingly finished almost all of it. It was so hard to stop eating because the food was so delicious. The Tteok-bokki was one of the best I have ever had. “Amazing Korean Food in a simple location but packs a huge punch. I came here solely based on the recommendation of this soup I have been craving. Gamjatang is a spicy pork bone soup. This item at Daebal House was a massive tower of amazing flavor! The menu has a fairly small but simple listing of typical Korean dishes from soup to meats ——while I was there 99% of the patrons are eating this dish. This place is open after 5pm and is similar to a late night bar with fine dining food… Highly recommend if you are in the area and want authentic quality tasting korean food and experience with friends. Oh and the kimchi is the BoMB!!!!!!! So yummmmmmmmmmy! First pic is when it came out!! Second pic is after we all ate to our hearts desire and there were still leftovers!!!!!“

“I highly recommend this place. There are a lot of Korean BBQ spots in Atlanta, but this is the first time I’ve had such high-quality meat with a proper charcoal-grilled flavor. You can tell right away they use quality ingredients even the side dishes were top-notch. Overall, everything was delicious. Since it’s a newly opened spot, the cleanliness and interior were also impressive. It’s been a while since I’ve had such a great meal.“

“Korean seafood soup (Hae-mul-jeon-goal) was surprisingly good. It has baby octopus, shrimp, clam, crab, and lots of veggies. Broth is amazing, and baby octopus was soft. You should add udon noodles for $3 because it is a game changer.
Most importantly, order the fried rice, and they will use that good broth to make the amazing fried rice. I asked them to add more sesame oil and seaweed flakes, and it makes the fried rice even more savory and amazing.“
