“OMG, I finally found a restaurant with beef noodle soup that is closest to the taste in Vietnam. The beef noodle soup here has rare beef, flowered beef shank (not the meat used for pho), blood, pork sausage, Hue pepper rolls, rich broth with meat stew, lemongrass, not onion, garlic, lemongrass and then poured into a bowl. . “I’d been craving authentic traditional Banh mi for several weeks. On 9/10/24, I was shopping in a different area than I live or work. I Googled and Yelped Vietnamese food in the area. Banh Mi Cafe had high ratings on both platforms and the photos on both platforms revealed a place that didn’t look overly “commercial”. I knew I was going out on a limb ordering at a new (to me) Vietnamese restaurant in the midst of a craving. It’s almost like stacking the deck against the restaurant. But, that day logic was overwhelmed by the craving and I was willing to take the risk. First good sign - when I arrived, prior to dinner but well after lunch, there were a couple of families dining in, and someone getting take out. Second good sign- The atmosphere as depicted in the pictures felt very homey and service provided was pleasant and courteous. The ultimate sign - my take out order was the Banh Mi Dac Biet, Banh Mi Thit Nuong, Banh Mi Tom Nuong, and Pho Dac Biet. Banh Mi Cafe not only satisfied my craving for authentic Vietnamese it exceeded my expectations. The food was flavorful and bright. After we finished our meal, my husband said, “this is so good, I can eat this every week!”“

“One of the best pho places around, located slightly NE of Atlanta. The food stall is located in the Hong Kong Market's food court-- dining is super casual.
No frills, just good noodle soup.

You know it's authentic when the herbs are plentiful, and soup comes out tongue burning hot. The menu is primarily variations of pho, but also has Bun Bo Hue and Bum Mam.

The pho broth had a deep beef flavor. There was a sheen of fatty broth (nước béo) that made the soup even richer. It was very aromatic with a hint of sweetness. The herbs consisted of the typical selection (thai basil, culantro, bean sprouts. jalapeño, and limes). There were paddy herbs included which is rare (and not to everyone's taste). The noodle-protein-soup ratio was perfect.

Forewarning: It's a one man operated stall, with an occasional assistant. Still, three pho bowls came out in ~10-15 minutes.“

The Vietnamese sauce compliments the juicy crispy wings. No dipping sauce needed for their wings. The grilled pork banh mi - get the pate added and it’ll set it off. The pork was tender and smoky. They have sugarcane juice which was the best refreshing drink for a hot summer day. It’s a modern Vietnamese fusion spot that actually does it right. “Good place for hủ tiếu. I have yet to find a hu tieu kho place as good as ones in Vietnam, but I haven't tried their hu tieu nuoc yet. But the hu tieu kho here is pretty decent - better than many other Viet restaurants in ATL area.“

“Mình ở Greensboro NC. Sáng Sunday 07/30/23 mình có đi chơi biển với các con và bạn bè. Trên đường đi xuống Destin Florida mình có ghé qua VN ToFu mua bánh mì và những thức ăn khác. Đây là lần đầu tiên mình đến tiệm VN Tofu. Rất khác với các tiệm khác. Ở đây các nhân viên bán hàng vui vẻ niềm nở giới thiệu các thức ăn rất tận tình với khách hàng mà thực sự nói thức ăn ở đây rất ngon và rẻ. Cũng như vậy sau khi đi chơi biển xong trên đường về mình có ghé tiệm VN ToFu mua gần $ 300 dollar thức ăn đem về. Thích nhất là bánh mì mua 5 tặng 1. Đặc biệt ở đây các nhân viên nói được cả 2 thứ tiếng Việt và Anh. Có phần khen ngợi các nhân viên trẻ nói tiếng việt quá giỏi. Sau này nếu có xuống Atlanta Georgia nhất định mình sẽ đến VN ToFu.“

“This place was amazing. Some of the best sushi I've had in a while. I don't stay in the area but if I did if frequent this place. We were wondering if it was going to be any good because they had a50% of promotion when we visited. I know fish 50% off automatic antennas that make you think the worst. We tried 4 rolls and the takoyaki. The food was great all the rolls were fresh the seafood was fresh and everything tasted great. The servers were nice and I would recommend grabbing a bite of your visiting the area or having this as a go to if you live nearby.“

“The new owners renovated the restaurant to be more modern and welcoming. The meat plates are great for lunch, and there are plenty of other traditional dishes too.

We got the pan-fried noodles with seafood. The seafood is chewy, more so than those at other places. The Chinese BBQ pork is my favorite of the meats so far. The light soup and pickled vegetable served with the BBQ rice plate really round out the meal. I'll try their clay pots or other noodles next time.
