You can order food at the counter or pick up a variety of ready made items, both savory and sweet, which is what drew me in as I was really interested in trying vietnamese food other than bahn mi or bahn xeo. Especially wanted to try out foods that used predominantly other starches and flour beside wheat due to a gluten intolerance, the goods here used rice flour and/or tapioca starch.

We thought we would never find any spot that makes the BEST, most freshest Bao and sesame balls that tasted as good as Boston. But now I must say, BANH MI DC has. I gave them 5 ⭐️ for their BAO, but the only thing I didn't like is the green peas doesn't belong in the bao lol.
