“So Ba is one of those hidden neighborhood gems in East Atlanta Village. The vibe is laid-back, casual, and a little eclectic — it feels like a local hangout more than a polished chain, which I actually love.
The pho is the star here: rich broth, fresh herbs, and generous portions. Their vermicelli bowls and spring rolls are also worth trying — light but filling, with clean flavors. The menu isn’t overwhelming, which makes it easy to pick something good.
Service can be a little hit-or-miss depending on the night, but when it’s on, it feels personal and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the cocktails (yes, they’ve got a bar) are a fun surprise for a Vietnamese spot.
If you’re looking for authentic, comforting Vietnamese food in a chill atmosphere, So Ba definitely delivers. It’s not fancy, but it’s soulful, and that’s what makes it stand out.“

“I had a headache and a tummy ache and not anymore! I had the tofu pho w beef broth (but fried tofu on the side yum) and bc they were out of chili oil the server recommended I add the other spicy broth (can’t remember name but I made it mild) and OMG TALK ABOUT HEADACHE AND TUMMY ACHE GONE! Not to mention the two beautiful servers were just so helpful and sweet. Bathroom was super clean… service was attentive . Food was exactly what I needed. I’m so grateful, full and happy! First time here and I’m just so thankful :)! Thankyou so much! Oh yea and pricing was good too! I hate a huge bowl of pho!“

“Our favorite pho place to eat. It is a family owned business. You will see the teen kids take orders and they have the mom and dad in kitchen cooking the food. A bowl of pho here is very cheap compared to other spots. A small bowl is 13 bucks, but I always get the medium which is just 2 bucks more. Their large is around 18 bucks. The price here is great! The soup base they have here is light and it is the type of pho from north vietnam because of the broth color. You don't have to add any hoison sauce or other seasons in it. The broth does not change color like how dai loi broth does be cause folks always add hoison sauce and when finished it sinks to the bottom of bowl. We love the mango milkshake because they always use fresh mangos for us. It is not powdered. The shaky beef with fried rice is also very delicious. They season it just right. We come here anytime of the week and it will always be fresh. We know the owners because we always come here so much they know our orders.“
