“We travelled all day on Christmas & needed to get dinner somewhere. Sunny Wok was the only place on this side of town open and it has great reviews. I placed an online order. Due to the high volume of people placing orders online, by phone, and even in store, it still only took an hour and our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. This place has been down the street from us for years and I can’t believe it took us so long to try it. We will be repeat customers for sure!“

“This was my first time at Tony’s in years. I was very impressed. The place was super clean and quiet. The man at the counter was very nice and helpful. We ordered a lot of things because Chinese food is my favorite and I wanted to try my favorites. The regular Chinese wings were crispy and juicy and had a lot of flavor. The chicken lomein had lots of broccoli and carrots and juice. It was delicious. The fried dumplings and crab Rangoon were very good. We ordered the almond chicken. The amount of almond chicken was generous, but it was a little more breaded and crispier than we like and the almond gravy was ok. Not the best, but not the worst we have had. The egg rolls were not my cup of tea, but not bad. The large fried shrimp was lightly breaded and so yummy! I had water, but my mom said the sweet tea was good. And last but not least, the Chinese donuts were perfect little bites of heaven. You should definitely try it out!“

“Great food for the price! What else can you ask for. Service is always good, the wait isn't bad if you place an order at the store. Wings, lo mein, and egg drop soup are just some of my favorites. Worth the stop if your looking for a quick budget friendly Chinese option.“

“Cheese steak egg rolls, fried scallops and Mongolian beef with white rice.
If you like vegetables, you will love the Mongolian Beef! Gone are the simplescallionsn and onions that everyone is forced to endure. Enter Mongolian beef clad in a vegetable medley of zucchini, carrots, lots of broccoli, green bell peppers, white water chestnuts and mushrooms.
The cheesesteak egg rolls looked like it was ground meat like a dumpling with American cheese.
The fried scallops were excellent. They give you a tub of what appears to be some sort of sugar based elixir, I assume to dip the scallops in. If you like scallops, don't use that and if you don't like them, why did order it. ?
Prepared and ready for delivery quickly.

“My wife and her family have been dining here for more than 15 years and the food is always good. How ever, this last experience was not great. the food was awesome as usual… but we didn’t dine in we call our order in due to what time it was (45 minutes prior to closing). The worker who answered the phone l was not polite to my wife. Upon asking what he could do for her, she answered with I want to make a carry out order. Upon hearing that the worker muttered “Jesus Christ” like what my wife asked him to do was putting him out of his way. I do recommend the establishment. The food is great and the restaurant is clean and orderly and service is always great apart from this situation. I recommend that the owner has a conversation with the workers about politeness to the customers. Thank you and enjoy“

“Happy Garden is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Augusta. When my boyfriend and I first moved here we tried multiple different Chinese restaurants but this one took the cake in not only quality/taste of food but also service. We ate there regularly for the entire 4 years at the DCG and it never failed to be absolutely delicious. We frequently got the sweet and sour chicken combo which is a 10/10 and the beef/chicken and broccoli combo which was usually an 8.5/10. We also love their crab rangoon's, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, house soup, veggie lo mein, szechuan style beef, and much more. Really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We always called in for takeout and the wait time was always around 15-20 minutes for pickup. Usually a younger guy always helped us and he is just the best!“

“I’ve been eating here since 2020 and I’ve never been disappointed with the food and service. The food is delicious and comes in large portions. I usually spend between $50-$75 for a party of 6 adults. I always have leftovers for the next day. I think an order over $50 comes with a free 2 liter drink.
Even though there are tables to sit at, I think this is more of a carry out than a dining in experience. There’s been a few times I ordered in and had my lunch by myself inside their restaurant while my wife was getting her nails done at Ocean Nails.“

“I was looking up their number and saw this place was only a 4.3?!
What is wrong with you people?! This is the best place in town for quick service chinese food.
They have: generous portions, the best tasting versions of their take on chinese food, quick and friendly service, very convenient location and ways to order. Oh and the prices are reasonable!
I highly recommend New China Restaurant!“

“This is, by far, the best place for chinese food I have ever had! The taste is always consistently delicious! The wings are to good to be true. Anything that you order from Dragon Express is going to be a great choice. Guaranteed! Try it, you won't regret it. If you don't, you just won't know what you've missed.
Parking: It is just simple angled parking spaces
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a wheel chair ramp near the door, as well as wheel chair ♿️ parking next to the ramp.“

“I have tried a lot of this type of food, I normally don't eat it all that often. I was introduced to New Chan by my best friend in a hurried moment. That's all it took. This is done right, the staff is second to none, this is the only eating establishment that doesn't beat you over the head with the tip. Here you won't mind giving a tip. I recommend New Chan over P. F. Chang.“

“Both Subway and Panda had hot and fresh food. Panda's portion sizes were generous. The place is small but was empty and clean enough. The restrooms are old as the hills and smell like sewer water despite being clean. Hours posted are current as of today.“

“Best Chinese we have had in years, hands down! I had given up on finding a place with great Chinese food in our area, but we decided to try this spot on our way home and it did not disappoint. I got the General Tao chicken and it had a lot of flavor, it was fresh and hot, and it had a bit of a unique twist that made it stand out above any other place I've had. Great food, great quality. We'll definitely be back, probably again this week ?“

“Local reviewer. Locals know this is one of the consistently best takeout Chinese restaurants in the area. My family has been eating at this takeout restaurant for over 5-6 years. Food is always excellent (delicious)! Great specials! Very clean restaurant. Great service! Very generous portions! They also sell chicken wings in individual servings or medium or large group sized portions in differing flavors. We have had many things on their menu (lo mein, spareribs, chicken stix, eggs rolls, wonton soup, fried rice, chicken or beef and broccoli, and lots more things). Yum! We highly recommend them! I included pictures of one of the combo specials which includes a large egg roll, boneless spare ribs portion, and fried rice. I also included a photo of a pork lo mein and chicken sticks combo which also includes a large egg roll. When you are seeing these pictures there was actually more of a portion than you're seeing, my family couldn't wait, sorry. Lol!“

“Calling in an order on certain items on the menu was challenging. Called in an order of egg rolls and they didn't start the process until we arrived. Couldn't understand why. Could've made a bad rating overall, but the food is good. It is what it is.“

“The customer service seems to be getting better. My husband loves their sesame Chicken! Everytime we are in Augusta it's an automatic stop!! It It was those lemon pepper wings but now he's got to have the sesame chicken. But notice your receipt when you are there within 7 days you get a discount or something. If you have that receipt. That will determine if they doing better with customer service because a while back they questioned me about the receipt but it is displayed after you pay a certain amount for that meal. You get a free item or a discount off your next meal, so please read your receipt and take advantage of that. No one has money growing on trees in these days, even if you make a good salary. Everything is more expensive. So count your pennies!
Parking: Lots of parking spots at center“

“I've eaten here for many years. I believe they now have new owners/cooks. For today's lunch I was specific on what I wanted and they delivered. The food was fresh and hot. I dined in and the staff was very polite. This place was already busy most of the time. If they continue the good work and learning their customers, they will need a bigger restaurant. Actually they need a bigger restaurant about twice the size right now. Also I reserve five stars for an exceptional experience, this experience was definitely a four and a half. Also if you've gone here before try different selections. Each cook has their own specialties and as I said I believe the cook has changed. Owner / cook if you're reading this please bring back water chestnuts!“

“2024 update:
After a recent visit I can say a lot has changed. The fried shrimp was the surprise standout dish we ordered. I'll probably try fried wings on my next trip. Orange chicken and Sesame chicken had good flavor but the chicken used was tough. Pork fried rice that came with each had no veggies besides onions and pork was tough, so average at best. Egg rolls were bland. They now accept credit but charge a fee for orders over $20.
Original 2017 review:
The food is quite good, worth a try. Cash or check only - no credit cards accepted. The inside of the restaurant isn't in the best shape and the service is very similar to what I got when I was actually in China (which is to say not fantastic), but that makes this place all the more authentic to me. I suggest going once and getting it to go to compare to what you get elsewhere. China is another good Chinese option in the area.“

“Great hidden gem in Evans run by a husband and wife who like to cook. Food is delicious and they have a very large menu. Awesome selection of both Americanized Chinese foods like sesame chicken and authentic Chinese foods like braised beef soup and sticky rice balls“

“I didn't take photos this time, but I will next time. Feeding a family of five, I ordered a half of pan pork fried rice with 25 Chinese wings and 20 lemon pepper wings. The lemon pepper wings were so delicious, better than any other lemon pepper wings I've tasted. The regular Chinese wings were good as well. Every other place I've ate wings at, the wings taste like fish, yuck! This will now be my go-to place for wings.“

“Food was great. But even though we were 1 of 6 tables in the restaurant it took almost a half hour before we had drinks ordered and another 30 minutes before we had appetizers on the table and half the table was done eating before the other half had their food brought out“

“This place is phenomenal with more bang for your buck. If you order six wins mysteriously, you get seven. Their vegetable fried rice is so delicious and complements the lemon pepper wings very well. The Asian lady at the house has a fantastic memory if you come regularly so you can almost tell me what you normally order as well as what your family orders. They are fast and friendly, no doubt.“

“This place is fantastic and has become our goto for good Chinese food. Love their General Taos chicken and the pork fried rice isn’t just the plain variety that so many Chinese restaurants seem to be selling now. The place is clean too and doesn’t look like a dump.“

“Ming House Express is hands down one of the best spots for Asian food in Augusta! The portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. The flavors are always fresh and delicious, and they have a great variety on the menu. On top of that, the lady who runs the place is incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure to stop by, and I can’t recommend it enough!“

“We always love our food from here. It’s been out go to for 5+ years. I will fight for the crab rangon. It comes with 6. :) I don’t typically enjoy Chinese food but my family does. They get the orange or sesame chicken with rice or noodles. Cost is very reasonable and if your feeding kids easily 2 can be feed off of one plate especially with extra rice, great portion sizes for adults. I usually get sushi from next door to go with a side of rice or noodles from here. It’s not a sit down place but they do have outdoor plastic picnic type tables that people use occasionally.“

“I used to come here all the time in my teens/early 20's when I lived with my mom. Since I have moved I have been craving their shrimp egg rolls. Unfortunately there is no other place like China wok's shrimp egg rolls where I live and I miss them dearly. No matter how many I have tried, nothing is really like it. Since I was over at my mom's, I went in the other day and got 2 shrimp eggrolls and a small shrimp fried rice with the added peas and carrots. It hit the spot and was delcious. With the fried rice cooked just right/not dry and perfectly cooked shrimp and over flowing in the container to the crunchy egg roll with more than 1 piece of shrimp and seasoned cabbage. Their food has never really dissapointed me. The owners are always nice and pleasant when ever you go in and they are doing such a good job! I wish there was a China wok where I lived so if you are ever there, get their shrimp egg rolls and try something new!“

“My family & I have visited this Panda Express many times! Food is always fantastic! Service is wonderful! Restaurant is always super clean! Great choice of dishes! Safe area! Plenty of free parking in a parking lot! Try the Teriyaki Chicken! It is delicious! I haven't ever had anything there that I didn't like! Hot, fresh, & yum! This Panda Express is right in the middle of all kinds of stores and shopping. There is also a movie theater nearby. One of my favorite shopping areas and I'm a local. I attached a picture of my meal! I have to apologize though! The portions are huge but I had already eaten some from my meal before I remembered to take a picture. It was just that delicious!
Parking: Plenty of free parking in a parking lot. Safe parking.“

“Like any other typical Chinese, fast food restaurant
Food tastes great
Cashier is professional and courteous
The weight is not long at all
As far as the dining atmosphere, there are tables and chairs to sit at but in that same area you will see large boxes stacked on top of each other and there is no real ambience. There is a table for those that are walking in to pick up their food and leave which is a plus
Parking: This location is in an old shopping center. Some of the restaurants and businesses are no longer there, so there is plenty of parking space to get to the restaurant. However, some parking spaces may be further away from the actual location, which means you have to walk A few more steps“
“The restaurant was small but it has delicious food in there. The lunch menus came with a spring roll and your entree. It was more than I could eat. Everything there was freshly prepared and served piping hot. I highly recommend this place. It filled up fast so the word must be out on this gem.“
