I like the food but 1 little yum yum sauce for the teriyaki plate is ridiculous. The plate is huge. I had to buy 3 additional sauces at $ .70 a piece. I understand paying for extra but make it make sense.
This place definitely surprised me. Didn't expect much, very plain outside and inside atmosphere but the food was very good. I got the AYCE sushi dinner option. The appetizers were good although the takoyaki are a little more plain/ different than traditional ones. The sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi were all delicious. Prep time in between orders also didn't take long although there was only a few tables when I was there. I'm definitely going back. I think this place gets passed...read full review

Sushi Village & Cajun Cooks offers a surprising dining experience with very good food despite a plain outside and inside atmosphere. The AYCE sushi dinner option includes appetizers, sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi that are all delicious, with prep time between orders that doesn't take long. The edamame, fried calamari, pork egg rolls, vegetable lo mein, fried okra, crab Rangoon, whole fried wings, chicken gizzards, and Swai all came out piping hot and delicious, and the server was amazing. The Superman Roll is super fresh and full of flavor, and the Osaka sushi roll, catfish nuggets, and crab Rangoon are fresh and very good, though the catfish nuggets could use more seasoning. The All you can eat sushi is excellent with lots of options and many non-sushi options also included. The place is quiet, clean, and everyone is welcoming. One note: the teriyaki plate is huge but only comes with one little yum yum sauce, and additional sauces cost $.70 a piece.
