24 Best Ice Cream Shops near Powder Springs

“My friend and I came in here last week while on a bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail.

We noticed this little cafe and ice cream shop while riding and we decided to stop and see what they had to eat, and we’re glad we did.

First of all the owner/manager Kevin is a great guy! Very friendly, very professional and very efficient.

We decided to order a slaw dog for my friend, and chili burger for me and some fries to share. Man I gotta tell you my chili burger with mustard and onions was fantastic! It’s a 1/4lb merger patty that’s cooked to perfection, nice and juicy, and the chili topping was delicious!

My friends slaw dog was perfect she said and the dog was good quality and the slaw was a great addition to the dog. I’ll have to try the chili-slaw dog next time.

Another great surprise were the French fries; they were cooked to a crunchy perfection and although they may have been frozen they were real potato fries, large and fried to the exact perfection!

They also have BBQ, shrimp, ice creams, cookies, all kinds of stuff! I never expected to find such a great little cafe right on the Silver Comet Trail.

Kevin says they’ve been there 7 years so apparently they’re there to stay.

I’m glad to know about this place this will be my new stop along the trail when I’m riding.

“My son is 6 and loves DQ. We’ve been coming to this location for at least 3 years. His tenders and fries are ALWAYS fresh. Ms. Lisa is an awesome manager. The workers are always professional, nice, and greet you at the window or counter. The McDonald’s next door needs to take note!“

“Inside is always clean. The yogurt and toppings are always great! And today’s customers service was very pleasant. My only complaint is that outside table and chairs area is an eye sore. Please pressure wash it and make it more presentable for those who like to sit outside. Thank you.“

“First time eating at Super Chix -- it was awesome! The menu has a good amount of variety for a chicken-centric place. The nice lady at the register recommended the buffalo ranch sandwich. While I enjoyed it, the flavor was a bit one-note (salt-forward), but that is to be expected with a fried buffalo-tossed breast and ranch. Next time I'd rather have something with more depth, and some veggies (LTOP). That being said, the quality of the chicken was great, and the fries were top-shelf, and dealt in a very generous portion. My wife loved her tenders, and the fried pickles were great too!

“Visited on a rainy Friday morning with a two year old. We ordered a dinosaur “Creature Creation” made with Baskin Robbins Very Berry Strawberry which tastes like hand-churned ice cream with large frozen strawberries throughout. Staff pleasantly provided a sample first. This is a very clean, open restaurant that also serves Dunkin Donuts. Beautiful Christmas Tree, and some very nice, helpful young ladies. Great experience all around!“
