Gryphon Reviews
A tranquil place to have a delicious lunch or tasty teat treats.
We went there for their High Tea which is outstanding- complete w fresh scones and Devonshire cream.
The place is run by SCAD students and it feels like it. It’s not a negative comment but the food and the book-themed interior design of the place are the standouts that spark return visits.
We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Not very busy. We choose the tea tower with indigo punch tea and the tower of finger foods. Everything was tasty. Good for two adults if you’re not extremely hungry

The Gryphon is a charming restaurant in Savannah that offers a delightful dining experience. Located inside a historic building that once housed the city's first clock and an old pharmacy, the restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere created by the current SCAD student servers who add a lively energy. The staff's knowledge about the building's history and their passion for the location make the visit special. The restaurant serves a variety of options, including traditional afternoon tea, entrees, salads, sandwiches, and scrumptious scones. The $20 afternoon tea tower is a standout, and their hot chocolate is truly exceptional. Customers praise the excellent service, with many special touches like having the check written in a book. The ambiance is fantastic, and the setting is perfect for a fun and memorable experience, especially for those interested in historic places. Visitors can enjoy a delightful light lunch, brunch, or tea, with options like the chevre salad, sesame tuna salad, french toast, and chef's mix tea sandwiches, all of which are highly recommended.
