“Let me start off by saying I have never been to one of these places before. My cousin suggested we go there. I was not disappointed. Not only was the food excellent but the entertainment of the cook was top-notch. All of us were basically served two meals in one. The steak with some of the most tender that I have ever eaten. The Miso soup they give you at the beginning is something I wish I could recreate. I've never had a soup that tasted like it had crackers already in it. Very unique. The rice was extremely flavorful, the shrimp and chicken cooked to perfection. Birthday parties abound and the show they put on for each birthday what's fun.“

“My brother and I had lunch on 9/11. We both had the Teriyaki chicken, I had the fried rice and my brother the white rice. At the time of our order, I placed a to go order of egg rolls and a side of fried rice. I did not check my to go order and after arriving home I realized no fried rice. My sister picked up the fried rice on the way home from work. I will definitely be back“

“Some of the best sushi in the state of Georgia! It was a pleasant surprise for us to find this authentic Japanese place in the middle of Savannah's downtown. We tried a few items and all them were so-so tasty. Miso soup, Mushroom soup, Edamame, Pepper Tuna tataki, Black Angel roll, Sashimi wrap, Spicy Tuna roll with avocado, cucumber and tobiko, but the most delicious roll out of all was the Amazing Tuna roll. It was so good, after we received our food items and tasted them all, we had to order more of Amazing Tuna roll as we couldn't get enough. Service by Jaycen was outstanding. We were very happy to have found this mouthwatering sushi joint and will definitely be back when we visit Savanah again.“

“We took my mother here for her birthday because she enjoyed it the one time we came for lunch. They were so nice and accommodating. This place have been around so long and their prices are still affordable and food is good . The atmosphere is outdated but it doesn’t change how wonderful experience every single time we had came here. Thank you ! “The sushi was some of the best I've had in quite some time. The presentation was lovely and the sushi itself fresh and delicious. I had the Black Dragon roll and tomago. My dining partner: miso soup, avocado roll and shrimp tempura roll. The service was prompt and pleasant. We were there late (2:30pm) for lunch. I'd go back in a minute.“

“HEIWAS is such a nice little spot with real mom and pop vibes. The owners are super kind and always genuinely happy to see everyone coming in. The service is consistently great and you can tell they truly care about their customers.

The food is amazing every time. I’ve ordered takeout a few times and it’s always fresh and delicious. The chefs clearly care about what they’re serving and it really shows in the quality.

“The food was delicious, but the waiter's attitude was terrible. I heard from a friend that they forced us to tip, but I didn't believe it at first. Today, after experiencing it myself, I realized that my friend was right. The service attitude was terrible. They didn't respond when I called them, and they were noisy and rude. As a result, when I went to the front desk to pay, the waiter followed me, asked me to swipe the card, pointed to the tip column and the name column and asked me to sign the tip and my name. The most speechless thing for me was that the lady at the front desk didn't stop them. My God, this is simply a rogue.“
