Best Little Jem in Thomaston. The food is fresh, mashed potatoes are homemade. I love the peanut butter cake and the cobbles are out of this world as well as the chocolate delight. Consistently good food.Kid-friendliness: They offer a child's plate from the buffet. They are a traditional Southern cuisine restaurant, so all of the Southern favorites, Fried Chicken macaroni and cheese, rutabagas creamed corn lots of stuff for children, and they have a salad bar.
This is a throw back to the days of buffets. When you go in you first pay. Ours was 30 dollars that included tip. There were lots of meats and vegetables to choose from. Meats well cooked, salad fresh, veggies stand from the can but cooked southern style.There were several desserts also. Drinks were included in price. I usually eat here on a Sunday after church services, so it's buffet style eating only on a Sunday. Even though the food is buffet style, it's prepared well with care. The food is good and the service is good. The atmosphere is lively family oriented.
