“Kukga Topokki serves some great Korean street food. Their Topokki is perfectly chewy with a rich sauce that has a balanced taste of spicy and sweet. The Kimbap is fresh, the fish cake skewers are delicious and the fried snacks are crispy and delicious. The portions are generous, the prices are great. Well worth a visit!“

I ate my weight in food and because it was all delicious! My server Cody was phenomenal! He was very attentive, personable and had a great recommendation with the beef finger meat! I would recommend stoping by Top and if you can have cody as your server!!“

“They're in the same plaza with Teso Life and Sweet Hut. It's not easy to find parking in front of the restaurant but the plaza parking lot is spacious so no need to worry about parking.
We came on the weekend and didn't have to wait to have seats. The place has nice decor with artificial green but being done right so it looks nice and bright. Service is good and fast. The food ingredients and quality are good. However, as for tofu soup, it's not the soft tofu cube that most Korean places serve. The tofu texture is more broken so it threw me off a bit. The texture is like soft fish roe or soft ground meat. They also don't have spicy levels; so if you can't eat spicy food, like me, the tofu soup options get very limited. The bbq rib We had:
- Oyster seaweed tofu soup + BBQ pork combo: both the seaweed and tofu are pretty broken and scattered. The texture doesn't do well with me. The taste is alright.
- Pork BBQ main dish: my boyfriend likes them because they don't have bones like ribs.
- Grilled croaker whole fish: this one is my favorite, slightly salty but the fish was grilled properly, crunchy on the skin and soft tender meat on the inside. You have to be careful eating since the fish is served as a whole with bone in it.
Every table has its own utensil and napkin drawer, which is very convenient and saves both guests and servers the time to ask for more utensils or napkins. Each table has their own hot tea pot and cups too.
Overall, I like the quality of their ingredients and the ambience and cleaness of the restaurant. I'm not a fan of the tofu texture in their tofu soup, and the limited options on non spicy soup. I might come back mostly for the grilled croaker.“

“If you’re craving soondae, this is the place to go! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the flavors are worth it. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Korean pork dishes, including samgyeopsal, and everything is cooked to perfection.
One tip: if you visit on a cold day, avoid sitting near the windows as it can get a bit chilly. The seating near the kitchen is much cozier. Highly recommend for authentic Korean cuisine lovers!“

“Their Galbi and tofu soup are the best! They have pretty good portion of the meat (not too thin) and very favorable. They also served individual ban-chan (side dishes) which you can ask for another round. They have a good service and pretty fast in serving the food. The restaurant itself has an authentic vibe that you can’t complain!“

“There are a few locations that we go to for korean bbq but for this type of meal (organ meats) I have to say "GopChang On Fire" is our go to location. Great food options, great atmosphere, great service, and great owner that is always accommodating. If you were ever on the fence of trying organ bbq meats, I would highly recommend trying GopChang and making it your stable and standard. I don't think it could get any better then this.“

“Great food, huge portion. Definitely worth a visit! My friend and I shared a Small pig trotters (spicy + mild platter) and finished most of it. You also get a rice ball for free if you pay by cash. Pig trotters come great with rice and kimchi.
Service could be more friendly to non korean speaking customers.“

“Just went there for first time. Nice indoor dinner, friendly staff and excellent food. I ordered a bowl and it was excellent worth the price. Not sure about the fried chicken. I found it somewhat pricey. $15 plus $4 to make it a combo. Not sure how many pieces comes. Couldn’t find qty.“

“I recently had dinner here and was completely blown away by the improvement in food since the new owners took over the restaurant. We ordered the clam noodle soup which had a very clean and homey soup with chewy noodles. It came with kimchee that is probably the best kimchee I’ve had in a restaurant. The woman who works there told me that they make it in house, unlike other restaurants that outsource premade ones. The fried variety plate was well done and freshly fried. Finally we got the burdock root kimbap (rolls) which was the best vegetarian rolls we’ve ever tried as it comes stuffed with huge pieces of fluffy eggs. Definitely eating here regularly.“

“Ate to our heart's content and we were so full that everyone had the best sleep of their lives. Our server Diana (I think that's her name. She has a ponytail with bangs) was the sweetest and made funny remarks. Our other server was a visibly irritated every time we asked for more sides, but maybe he just had a long day. Diana did an excellent job informing us and helping us with everything. Love this place and would definitely return.“

“Been here maybe 5 times now. I always try to order something different each time. This time I tried their new Harue Chicken, it comes with boneless chicken & crispy rice cakes, I got the sweet & spicy flavor.
My sister got the Rice cake skewers, Bulgogi gimbap & half chicken (Soy garlic) meal. Let’s just say she couldn’t eat much after the rice cake skewers but good thing she’ll have leftovers for days. On the menu the half chicken says it’s for one person but it’s definitely a meal for you.
Sometimes service can be slow here when it’s busy but we got in before the rush this time and the service was fast.
They have a big menu and a variety of options to please everyone’s taste buds.“

“After patronizing this wonderful restaurant for over 15 years it’s time to let my secret out. I lived in Korea for a year and haven’t experienced this level of authentic Korean freshness and hospitality since. The owner makes all the vegetable dishes she serves you herself…yes, she will be serving you personally. That includes the Kimchee and Doenjang (fermented soybean paste). The latter takes her 2 years to make!! I love the food and the warm service here so much that I have added this restaurant to my advanced directive…it’s my requested last meal, should I be so lucky. :-). Once you've eaten here you will understand why her walls are covered with "Best of Atlanta' awards dating back two decades.
Vegetarian options: The wonderful vegetable side dishes (Banchan) are the best part of eating here. And she is always creating something new and exciting.
Parking: Lots of free parking. :-)“

“We dined here the evening of 9/27/24 and left very impressed! Not only was the food great, but the two ladies who attended us were so gracious, kind, and attentive. If you've been to some of the other mainstays on Buford Highway, you'll know that service can sometimes be brusque and impatient. Not the case here! They really made us feel welcome.
We ordered the short ribs, tofu stew, and seafood pancake. Everything was tasty, but wow, that pancake was the star of the show. It's huge! I'm talking as thick as a deep dish pizza, lol. Also, it wasn't soggy from oil like they sometimes can be. Needless to say, we left full and happy, and we will be adding this to the Buford Highway rotation ?“

“I saw this place on instagram and I saved it to my list of restaurants to eat while in Duluth. I came here before the Ateez concert and was not disappointed!! Everything was so good! I got the pepperoni pizza, chicken and some beer. It was definitely 10/10. Chicken was crispy and the pizza tasted like it came out of a brick over with a great cheese pull! I’m definitely pulling back up again. Staff was also nice and helpful!!“

“My mom and I stopped by for dinner and had an awesome meal. From the warm tea before the meal, 10 different side dishes, seaweed soup with our main dish, to sikhye (Korean rice drink) at the end of our meal, it was a worthwhile experience for the price! The side dishes and the seaweed soup were really delicious, whereas the spicy pork was decent. My mom got the fish and she really enjoyed that. The service was very friendly, and we ended up purchasing two of the side dishes at the end of our meal to take home. 10/10 would definitely recommend for a homey Korean style meal :-)“

“I can hardly remember if I’ve visited this restaurant before, which means it’s either been a very long time or this was my first visit, recommended by a group of friends from an association. Regardless, this humble neighborhood restaurant left a strong impression. Once popular in the heart of Doraville's old Koreatown, this spot carries a sense of nostalgia and is truly a hidden gem with a rich history. While it may not boast extravagant decor, the quality of the food speaks volumes. I particularly enjoyed the generous variety of side dishes (반찬), which were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The highlight of my meal was the fresh grilled sole fish (서대구이), perfectly cooked and accompanied by a hearty bowl of bean paste stew (된장찌개), both proudly recommended by the friendly and welcoming owner. Her genuine hospitality and attentive service added warmth to the dining experience, and it was heartwarming to see some of my friends recognize her from previous visits.
If you’re looking to experience authentic, homemade Korean cuisine in a modest yet charming setting that evokes memories of Korea's past, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a rare gem that preserves the flavors and traditions of old Korea, and I’ll definitely be returning to savor more of its offerings.“

“It's a neat soup restaurant where you pay at a kiosk and don't have to tip. You pay first and the wait time for your food to come out is not very long. Food allergy information is unclear as there is no separate explanation. I'm eating well.“

“Got the seafood soup with ramen versus spicy and mackerel. The mackerel was great and a huge piece as well. The soup wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be getting the highest spice level. The ramen also took away from the soup. The sides were blah. Other than that it was decent. Service was great“

“I live nowhere near here so when I saw the reviews I jumped on it. After eating here I wish I lived closer. The menu they have is great. If you can't find something to eat then you're the problem. From Korean food to wings to burgers there is so much here. I was greated when I walked in by Dean, I think. Super helpful and friendly guy. I decided to get the beef bulgogi bowl. I really love bulgogi and this hit the spot. It was a bowl with three layers - rice, noodles and the beef. It was great. Nice and clean little joint. While I was there a few folks came in and he greated them all like friends. I was like - dang, this dude is cool. I would recommend trying this place out. If I'm way over here again I will 100% drop in.“

“We used this catering service for my son’s 100th day birthday, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious—everyone loved it. We had bulgogi, fried chicken, chicken katsu, and cod jun, and everything was perfectly prepared. The fried chicken was a huge hit with our guests—it was garlicky with just the right amount of spice! Clara was wonderful to work with, always quick to respond and very sweet. She made the whole process easy, and the food really made the event special. Highly recommend!“

“I liked the atmosphere of the place. Every table has a place to have bbq if you want. We ordered from the lunch menu. I had the sirloin and tonkasu. It was awesome. My wife spicy pork with vegetables and seafood tofu soup. It was okay. The pork was a bit fatty, and the soup was over salty. The service was really good, and we will definitely be back to try the bbq.“

“We ordered set A. They were quite tasty if you can handle intestines. Our waiter was friendly and patient. The only thing that might be lacking in my opinion is that the sides could be more “clean taste” to balance the richness of these grilled food. Maybe some green onion salad or even kimchi would help.“

“I was in search of good Kimchi and my husband tagged along on my quest. We went to 4 different places that had been recommended and found what is now my favorite cabbage kimchi here at JS Kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave me taste tests so I could choose what I liked best. Since it was a little past lunchtime we also ordered 1 bulgogi box to share. There was quite a variety of food and plenty for both of us. I think it's primarily intended for take-out, but they have three bar stools and a counter so we ate there. It was pleasant enough for us especially since we were all about the adventure today!“

“This small cozy restaurant offers some intestines as the main dish to order. It may be adventurous to some who are not used to it, but if coming with friends it will be a fun time! While it is a Korean restaurant, don’t let that deter you if you only speak English and are unsure about the menu. The servers here are nice and are able to assist with both the cooking and explanation of the menu. Ordered a combo plus some additional large intestines as it seemed to taste the best in my opinion. While the restaurant can be busy towards the evening, the servers do try to help everyone. They may forget to fill waters/hot teas and take some empty dishes away but overall a great experience. Side note it feels a bit cheaper to drink beer/soju here compared to other restaurants so I felt encouraged to drink here with this meal and will highly recommend to drink alcohol when eating this kind of meal.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Since I tasted food last summer I’ve been dying to come back.
It’s a self-service restaurant where you order the food and pay at the front. Then you can pick up food when it beeps. It took less than 10 min for us to get our delicious food!
Staff are incredible polite and efficient.
My favorite is the steamed dumplings, cold buckwheat noodles with bbq pork.
My friend had a traditional Korean soup and that had unique flavor.
Price is incredible value for this qualify of food. They have hot yuksu (beef broth soup) that has unlimited refill.
When I go back to NY, I will really miss this place!“
