“Dinner on a Tuesday night at the Kimball house was wonderful. Loved the decor inside and overall ambience. My party enjoyed everything we ordered especially the entrees, they were all excellent and difficult to pick a favorite between the tenderloin, duck and snapper. The grilled oysters were a little different than the typical Parmesan garlic but they were amazing as well. I think the weakest dish for me was the fried shrimp. The pieces were small and seemed like a lot of breading. We didn't order dessert here and elected to walk over to butter & cream for dessert. Would definitely come back for dinner again!“

“I wish I could rate this place higher!! Haven Restaurant and Bar is such a gem. I dined here for the first time last night with friends and everything was simply phenomenal. I had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin which was absolute perfection. The beef was cooked exceptionally well with the perfect amount of salt. The whipped potatoes were nice and buttery smooth and the spinach was the best spinach I've ever had. It was packed with flavor and the bearnaise sauce accompanied everything so well. We also tried the new Grilled Artichokes which were delicious. The ricotta really put it over the top and again, was seasoned perfectly. The staff was also top notch! Our waiter was fantastic beacuse he was so kind and professional and knew the menu back and front. The brunch manager was still there and he was also amazing and so nice. I live an hour away but will absolutely make the drive to come back again very soon.“

I liked the burger I ordered (burger and fries were a great combination), but the patty was slightly dried. They had a long menu with tons of of options to choose from — seeing some of Thai-inspired/Korean-inspired/Japanese-inspired menus kind of made me question the identity (or character) of the restaurant because those felt “fusion.” I usually prefer for the restaurant to stick with one genre, although this is a personal preference. However, overall I liked the place and I appreciated the large portions of the foods.“

I wouldn’t say it was worth $64 for 3 sandwiches but it was definitely a pretty good portion for the trio, and the sandwiches were pretty packed. The coleslaw was disgusting, had a really weird aftertaste like it had expired, and the pickles were limp and dehydrated, salad edges were brown. However I didn’t come for the sides so I guess I can’t complain? I do have to address the tip culture that has gotten way out of control. I didn’t really understand how this establishment worked. You order your expensive food at the counter and they bring it to you, then you throw your trash away on the way out. Just like a fast food restaurant. I guess for the prices I wasn’t expecting that, so when the tip screen came up and the girl just stared at me waiting for me to tip her for nothing I was stumped and felt guilty. $74 lunch for 3 sandwiches it was. Guys… rest assured that you won’t see the employee again for the rest of your meal and you can just pay for the food without the guilt trip to tip an enormous amount for zero service. The greens were PERFECT not requiring any condiments at all! The salmon and lamb cooked to perfection and the yams and Mac & cheese didn’t disappoint. Honestly it was all soooo good!! This is great for day or night date or with family/ friends. Our server, E, was attentive, friendly, and best of all informative on the food and drinks!! “Allow me to set the mood! It’s Hoopz last night in Atlanta before moving back to Seattle. As such, I wanted something close to his area, good, and that I had never tied before. Naturally I end up on Yelp performing a search and Boom! I stumbled across Argosy. Though I have been in this area numerous times, I have never noticed Argosy. However, tonight was the night… I was excited as the restaurant has its own private lot. Woo Hoo! Anyone who knows the area can’t attest that parking is not the best when it comes to available spaces. Once parked, we headed inside. Argosy is humongous. I’m talking super big covered patio area in the front, when you walk through that space to get to the main area, the inside is HUGE as well. The setup has your organic local bar feel and is musically vibrant and upbeat. Upon walking in we were seated within moments. The table setup makes good use of the space as you don’t feel crowded at all. We were a party of 2 and the tables next to us were a party of 10 and we both had ample space. As I looked over the menu, this is the traditional bar food menu with the Argosy twist. This makes for a limited selection to choose from, however, there is at least one traditional favorite of each food element in the menu. Our server arrived at the table within moments, welcomed us to the venue and took our drink orders. She was very pleasant and displayed a joyous smile. After a few moments of burger vs. fries, I decided to get the Wings and Fries and babeeeeeeeeeee. These wings were amazing. The wings come in a sauce I have never had before, and now that I have had it, I want to continue having it. It’s like a Buffalo style sauce not too spicy, with an Argosy taste twist to them. As far as the French fries… Hear me clearly. The art of a Homemade fry is not something everyone can execute well. However, Argosy has discovered the ART of fry making. The fries are crunchy on the outside, however, soft and fluffy on the inside. Furthermore, the fries are lightly salted which brings out the authentic taste of the potato. To make it even better, the fries aren’t too oily or overly greasy. Though I loved my wings, the French fries stole the night!! All in all, I will be back at Argosy soon as I MUST try the burger next.“

We took the crane cake and the steak frite. The crab cake was ok but too much bread in it. The steak frite was a revelation, the meat was tender and flavorful, very unique and we will be back for it. The bémol of this review is mostly the wine, good but the quantity provided for $12 are ridiculously small so you end up ordering more than 1 glass, was it on purpose? Anyway I suggest to avoid the wine as it spikes the bill significantly.“

Regarding the oysters, I would suggest you do not order them here. The oysters were tiny and they were served with one slice of lemon. Unfortunately, the kitchen was unable to provide any other toppings for the oysters, including horseradish, despite it being used in the steak tartar. These were some of the saddest oysters I've ever seen. The other food I tasted was pretty good, including the sorbet dessert we ordered. All of the staff I met were friendly and helpful. All in all, a bit pricey for the reality, especially considering the sad oysters.“

“I found this very interesting restaurant in a walkabout of the square near my hotel [April 10, 2019]. The menu has a sophisticated range of light fare and pasta dish meals. The manager, Sean Palani, greeted me and saw me to an outdoor table a comfortable distance from a musician busking on the square. My server, Ryan, recommended their scarpinnoc with ricotta, morels, fonduta, "fronions" and tarragon. It is delightfully savory, cheesy and comfortable. I indulged in a signature house drink, the Dusk and Summer, gene's spiced rum, Solera cream sherry, strawberry orange liqueur and lemon. It is delightfully light and refreshing after a long day at the trade show. This is a lovely place to be on a beautiful, warm night.“
