“My FAVORITE dim sum place in Honolulu! I’m not a huge fan of the location, but they have the best dim sum on island. The prices used to be really affordable but they’ve gone up significantly over the years just like most places. This is one of the few places that still serve you from the dim sum cart. They can get really busy at lunch time and on the weekends.
Pork siu mai, shrimp har gau, seafood peanut dumplings, soup dumplings are all must get items! Their curry tendon is also very soft and tasty.“

“Was greeted by a kind gentleman behind the counter. He saw us looking and opened up the steam basket to show us more options but wasn't pushing us to by his food. I was already full but decided to get the fried pork dumplings. I'm so glad I did. Omg it was fresh, hot, crispy and the filling tasted just right. This place costs a lot less than where I'm from for dim sum. If I could eat more, I would've ordered more.“

“Been coming here since I was a kid and have to make my normal stop at Manoa and get some home style beach food.
Super surprised that the prices are still very affordable during tight times and added different flavors in the baked, have to come back to try more.
The food and service is always filled with Aloha. Thank you for keeping the love in the valley and fixing up the old shop. Looking forward to my next visit. Much love 🤙🫶“

“Our dining experience at Morimoto Asia in Waikiki, Hawaii was exceptional! The appetizers like ribs and pork gyoza were fantastic, and the dinner choices, including fried rice, orange chicken, and the Miyazaki Wagyu certified grade 5 beef, were simply out of this world. To top it off, we enjoyed a birthday celebration with delicious doughnuts and ice cream with a beautiful chocolate decorative piece. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience! Plus: the service was amazing!“

“This place is underrated! The best Chinese restaurant in Hawaii! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, and the service is great. Just be patient when they’re busy. They also serve the biggest dim sum in Hawaii at the best prices. I also like their generous portion of steamed fish. This is my go to Chinese restaurant that I love.“

“The dim sum was delicious and enjoyable. We ordered the hagow, shiu mai, spare ribs, and other familiar favorites. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. The stuffed bean curd was the standout while the baked manapua was flavorful although I was not a fan of the sugar coated topping. Personally, I prefer having the cart service with steaming baskets rolling by so I can pick what looks good but that is just personal preference. The staff did a great job being attentive and bringing the bamboo steamers straight to the table and everything arrived hot and fresh from the kitchen.“

All the ingredients taste so fresh and and were perfectly assembled with such AMAZING flavors. I cannot wait to go back! Definitely try the desserts too! I would gain 5lbs a week if I lived closer.“

“A typical looking traditional dim sum place. I ordered some basic dim sums to go and they were fine, but nothing special. Each dim sum is about $6. It took a little longer than expected to get my small order ready, but it wasn’t bad. Servers were very friendly.
Vegetarian options: Some options were available.
Parking: Park in the adjacent building at a dollar per hour with the first 30 minutes free.“

“So I have been going here for years because I love Don Quijote nut this is the first time I have written a review. So I have lived in San Francisco and these guys are definetly the real thing. They have great duck and Char Siu as well as roast pork. I usually get the baked manapua and the pork hash. The baked manapua has a nice soft bun and the filling is great fresh with lots of meat. And the pork hash is great because it has chunks of water chestnut and other delicious veggies mixed in with the pork hash. The service has always been fast and friendly and the decor is well traditional Chinese restaurant .“

“We had only a few hours to kill in Honolulu and decided to wander around the arts/Chinatown district. Someone in a shop nearby recommended this place. It's pretty awesome! A little low rent of a room but the food and prices are excellent :-). Great Shrimp Look Fan!“

“Ate here with my spouse. Had what was similar to egg rolls with chicken if they were steamed. My husband had 3 buns with BBQ pork inside. He said they were delicious. We shared a large pot of egg drop soup, I had to add a little salt. I had chicken with vegetables, pretty good, some of the pieces were a little fatty. Nothing oily. Polite, attentive service. Bill was about $42 and we left them $50. Dated but clean place. Lots of supplies on tables and counters. Group of LOUD men enjoying themselves but part of the ambiance I guess. All in all, it did the trick.“

“This was a great first time experience. Very nostalgic authentic place. I'd recommend coming a little earlier in the day since the dim sum is made hot every morning. The waiter came with the dim sum cart I got a couple of my go tos but I did try something new.
The dim sum I think was very tasty, good flavor but I feel if I came earlier in the day it would have been more moist. The second waiter came with a delicious looking tray of buns and things, and I ordered look fun which then they went to prepare it. I've never had a better look fun, it was a little crispy and there was crunchy pork bits with the perfect sauce. I liked the dim sum but I loved the look fun!
It's a little outdated inside but it has a sort of charm to it. I had 4 orders dim sum and a look fun (5 pieces) for $33! Probably time to raise your prices. Thanks it was so good.“

“Take out only. The have a vast variety of manapua, both steamed and baked. Staff is very friendly, efficient and puts a smile on my face. Makes a great impression when you are walking into a meeting, gathering, etc cause although everyone loves manapua, pork hash, half moon, rice cake, etc. Most people never think about this option which is far superior to donuts or other pastries.“
