“One of our favorite places to visit on Kauai was Nanea Coffee! The owner Mason and the environment he has created manifest the aloha spirit - welcoming, friendly, warm and spiritual. If you’re in the north shore of Kauai we HIGHLY recommend visiting this place. We went every day - except on Sunday when they were closed. Besides the beautiful location - the coffee, chai and baked goods were so delicious!“

“Soooo good and very friendly staff. Everything we ordered was delicious too! I got a falafel pita sandwich and my wife got a chicken shawarma pita sandwich. We also got the hand cut fries with the garlic sauce the cashier suggested. That was so gooood too. It was also nice to find such a vegan friendly place. Worth a stop!“

“If you're in the mood for BBQ, then take a stop by this place. They have a variety of BBQ options both as plates and a la carte. Prices are fair and service is friendly and super fast. I will mention there is only outdoor seating and birds do come by and check out what your eating but....the food is worth it!“

“We love JoJo’s Shaved Ice. It is the best we have had anywhere. We always go to the one in Hanalei several times per trip. We made the mistake of going to to the shaved ice place in Princeville and what a mistake. It cost more than twice as much and was less than half as good. The only place we will go now is JoJo’s! In addition to a much better flavor, it also melts very slow and does not turn into a mushy mess like others.“

What I love the most is that this place gives a credit towards your next purchase when you return the glass bottles, cleaned! I returned 5 of the containers we had and received a credit of 1.25$ - while it may not be much, I was happy I wasn’t contributing to more garbage on an island!

So many protein bite options, raw goodies, and lots of tasty looking treats. multiple dairy alternatives to choose from for bevs. I got a little rose pistachio number that melted while i sat outside and while the presentation was ruined- the flavor was not! It was such a delicious floral taste with the pistachio,truly delicious“

“Yummy! This was an absolutely pleasant surprise. I found them because their Ahi Wrap was featured on Food Network's: The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Admittedly, there were issues with our order with the food taking longer than normal, so we were offered a container of poke to say sorry! The fish was so fresh and delicious. I chose the fresh catch plate (Ono) and the dipping sauces that came with it were delicious, my mouth is STILL watering! Seating is limited outdoors, but definitely still warrants a stop. Parking is plentiful in the front and back of this shopping mall.“

It was late at night right before closing and pouring rain so thanks to them we got home safely“

We ordered iced vanilla latte. The staff is friendly and the service was fast. Their coffee is decent - nothing special.
This place is located near the beach so you can grab a drink and walk along the beach.

“Great local roaster that knows how to roast to bring out the natural varietal profile. This was our go to morning cup everyday while vacationing in Kauai. You can get any bean on the menu as a pour over. It was my first time trying coffees from Thailand and India. The baristas know how to pull an espresso shot. Nice crema and rich flavor. Not knocking the iconic Kauai Coffee, but if you like coffee that's roasted to bring out flavor profiles natural to the bean, Imua is the place for you. ☕“

We tried the fresh Kaua‘i shrimp and the crispy mahi mahi — both dishes were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and felt like a true taste of the island. “We stopped in to pick up some pineapples to bring home and ended up ordering lunch. This was a nice surprise because I didn't realize the store served food!The food was great. I got their special today, which was a Hawaiian Cuban with tortilla soup and some flan. The sandwich tasted great and didn't skimp on any ingredients, the tortilla soup is loaded and delicious, and the flan reminded me how great the dish can be. The cooks making these are very proud of their dishes and incorporate family recipes- very cool!I wish I had found this place earlier on my trip. Seems like the best discoveries happen on the last day.“

“My husband and I have been eating our way through the menu and haven't had a bad meal ever! It's my favorite place to eat on the island. My personal favorites are the deep fried mac n cheese or fries poutine appetizers, the duck or lamb dinners and always the cheesecake with bacon toffee or chocolate pudding. Drinks are fantastic and I love the infused smoked effects that can be added or the sweet martini drink on the dessert menu that tastes like drinking a snickerdoodle cookie. They have the biggest selection of whiskey, bourbon, scotch and rye around. A definate must try! It's truly the BOMB! ❤“
