“I don’t post often on Google, so when I do, it’s because I found a gem, and Kind Koffee, is a true gem. Adorable coffee truck inside an equally adorable warehouse with other cool shops. As a former barista, I am a bit of a coffee snob, but Kind Koffee’s coffee is top notch. Almond Milk lattes are my travel addiction, and the staff at Kind Koffee made perfect lattes each time I stopped by. If you are hungry, then get the Avocado Toast. Oh my, it is “to live for” and the best I have ever had. Also outstanding are the people who make up the Kind Koffee team. Each person greeted me with a warm, aloha smile. I had a feeling the owner led by example, and sure enough, “Roo” exudes an infectious kindness that will bring a smile to your heart, even during a bummer day. It has been a delicious treat starting my day with Kind Koffee. Mahalo to Roo and her team. ?“

“Kickshaws was one of the highlights of our intimate wedding! Their catering menu is huge, so it was hard to pick dishes because everything looked so mouthwatering and creative. In the end, it was all delicious and everyone raved about the food. Paulette and Seth were easy to coordinate with and they were accommodating of all of our special requests. Definitely stop by their food truck or hire them for your next event!“

“Big Monster’s Jurassic Poke Bowl is the best poke on island! It’s such a good balance of fresh greens rice and super flavorful and fresh ahi. The sauces are incredible. The workers there are super helpful to guide you in what to order and the warehouse is a super sweet place to enjoy a Meal! You can choose from various outdoor or indoor dining options ❤️ ? they close at 4 so come before they close!“

“Amazing rotating selection of pies by the slice, both sweet and savory. I was visiting for only two weeks, but kept coming back here. Some of the best pie crust I’ve ever had!Hard to pick my favorite since they were all so great. But probably the blueberry coconut; The juicy blueberries went perfectly with the toasted coconut in the crumble topping.“

“Great food! Wow we were impressed. A lot of plate lunch spots can be so repetitive but this one stood out.We got one of everything and didn’t regret it.Got the kalbi ribs , chicken, pork belly(taste like an amazing pork chop) and mahi w/creamy sauce and capers. We asked to get everything a lil more browned and he did and it was so tasty. My family of four(who are picky) loved it…not picky cause they don’t like anything but picky cause we cook so good at home, we’re not easily impressed.Lots of love was put into the food. Marinated , browned, and good portions. The only critique is that the fish could’ve used a dash more of salt but I understand that when it comes to fish you don’t want to over season so u can taste the fish. But it was still cooked really well, fresh and did enjoy it.We also enjoyed the little bit of Kimchi that was added, nice touch. And I think it was grilled? The Mac salad was bomb and so was the saimin was better than the norm. Had a bit of smokiness.We needed up get everything if u go.But There were a couple tables there.This spot didn’t have many reviews so we were hesitant but we’re really glad we went and we hope more people start going and support this food truck. “Best shaved ice on Kauai (we’ve tried a number)! Glad we found the new location, which is great. Quick drive from Poipu, much more outdoor seating and parking. There’s a couple other food trucks, some cute craft shops, and a bar backing right up to the forest.“

“If the fact that we came here 3 times for shaved ice in one week doesn't say how much we enjoyed it then I don't know what would! The best shaved ice I have ever had in Hawaii! Served with a smile and some local suggestions, a generous portion with naturally made fruit flavored syrups (you can totally tell) and a huge scoop of ice cream topped with some macadamia nuts and I am now adding them as a rotation into my diet. A small food cart, conveniently located across from a beautiful snorkel spot and some vacation rentals, there is limited street parks that we didn't have trouble finding but can see it being busy in the summer. Will be my first stop when I'm back in Kauai!“

“One of the best juicing places I've been to especially because I believe it's all local and very tasty. I've been to other where you can literally juice something with no taste and all health if you know what I mean. The staff and people here and Kauai Juice definitely know what they are doing and doing it right. Service was very helpful and friendly. “JoJo's is a classic. Getting into this one is more difficult because the restaurant space is so small. They have additional covered seating nearby, but be warned, it is well loved by previous shave ice enthusiasts--it's sticky! Bring baby wipes or something for your hands and faces.“

“Food:Possibly the best poke we've had. Went almost every other day while we were on south shore. Fantastic fish, perfect sauce blend that added to the fish without distracting from the flavor. Their poke does have romaine lettuce in it which I know some people aren't a fan of, so if you don't like it, just order it without it.Location:Nice clean little eating area. Decent parking right next to it, but plenty of parking nearby. Old Koloa Town has plenty of cool shops, so we frequently grab food at Big Monster, then grab ice cream nearby and walk around exploring.Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Couple of vegetarian options, but if you're vegan, why are you going to a sushi truck in the first place?Parking: Some spots right next to it, with plenty more a short walk down the block.“

“I really love this shave ice place. I've been to this location a few times and it's always the best, especially after walking around town. My boyfriend and I shared a large shave ice with pineapple, lychee and ube flavors. Service is always quick and friendly. We sat out on the barstools in the area right outside the shave ice stand to enjoy our little treat. The ube flavoring was rich and turned our teeth and mouths purple. My favorite flavor was the pineapple though. I highly recommend this place if you're in town.“

Don’t blame the locals who open their shops every day and struggle to make it because it was too spendy for you. Imagine how the locals feel! Expect to pay more for things than you’re used to. “Stopped by for a snack on the way to Salt Pond. I was happy with the Caesar salad from the fridge- $5 for a half head of chopped romaine- honestly the best price on the island- this would be $17 at any other restaurant (eating out on Kauai is usually mediocre and always ridiculously expensive). The cinnamon snax are basically cinnamon and sugar croutons- not too sweet and the ingredient list is all just basic stuff. A nice place to stop for some sweets. They have a mini mart as well. I think that their prices are good- if you find their treats elsewhere there will be a big mark up.“

It was so delicious and refreshing, I swear the vitamins and nutrients of the fresh ingredients invigorated me. This place was suggested to us by a local which is always a good sign. The staff were so friendly and nice and the location is great. I strongly recommend this place when in town!“

“We stopped in after an early dinner on our first night in Lihue. This place was small and a bit hard to find on the back side of a strip mall, but once we did, it was great. We had the shave ice combo that included mac nut ice cream and pineapple in the core, melon and coconut syrups, and sweetened condensed milk drizzled on the top. It was great and two of us easily split it.“

“I've been looking forward to trying Puka Dog for months! Now having tried it, I'm definitely satisfied! I had the spicy garlic sauce, mango relish and Hawaiian mustard. The combo was delicious! Because the bun's hole doesn't go all the way through, the sauce pools up at the bottom and my sausage was finished with quite a bit of bread left. The final few bites were way too saucy and wet for me to finish, which was my only complaint. I wish there wasn't so much sauce at the bottom. But the roosters surrounding my picnic table were happy to finish the bread for me.The lineup was quite short; only about 5 minutes. The food came out right away too!“

“I feel like this place is underrated. Food is great and super fresh. Have a lot of variety to fit everyone's wants/needs. My wife ordered the veggie sandwich. Bread was delicious, veggies fresh, and flavor was delicious. I ordered an açaí bowl. Loved the fresh PB scoops on top with fresh fruit. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Nice little seating area outside or you can head down to the beach.“

“Very nice experience. There are ancient Hawaiian ruins on the left side of the entrance. The location has nice spacious green views which makes it peaceful. Place is clean friendly staff and the food… I had the Green Chile Burrito- $12.45 Thursday Special. It was delicious!“

“Best shave ice on the island. We went back 4-5x the week we were in Poipu. We tried a few other places and this was so much better. This is the closest thing we’ve had to Matsumoto’s on Oahu which is equally as good. Get the Island Nectar or POG with macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom, SO GOOD. Jason was our server and he was AWEOME! Super nice guy and went above and beyond. Good shave ice and great service.“
