“We tried a pineapple dream smoothie and a paradise smoothie. Both were made from real fruit and no added sugar. Tasted very natural and delicious. Wonderful shaded eating area with very clean bathroom for patrons. We actually stopped there on our Hana Highway drive then came back 2 days later to see the Rainbow trees that we had missed the first time. Very friendly staff. A great place to stop for a treat. Mile maker 5.5.Parking: Plenty of pull in off the road parking.“
“Food (4/5): Got the pineapple cut for $10. If it comes not cut, you can get it for $6. It's pretty good but not as sweet as expected.Service (4/5): Pineapple was done fast and the ability for them to cut it is convenient although comes at almost double the price of the pineapple. The person was nice and polite with no issues for us.Ambiance (4/5): There is a covered bench table seating at the lookout point. Lookout point looks good but a lot of the best views are covered by trees.“
“What a gem of a place! All natural ingredients grabbed our attention to experience a healthier shaved ice for our Hawaii vacation. The chill vibe kept us there. Thomas was awesome, super down to earth, and great to chat with. Make sure to splurge for the ice cream with macadamia nuts on the bottom of your shaved ice — it was mind blowing!“
“Wow did we miss this shaved ice place. This brand is our absolute favorite and we always look forward to it when we are in Maui. Typically we used to visit their Lahaina location but we now visited this location. We were able to stop by twice during our visit and neither time did they disappoint. The flavors are top notch. The ice is top notch, the service of the associates and their ability to make the shaved ice quickly is all top notch. They have a single picnic table so there is limited space to sit but people don't mind as only a few people sit. It was all around a great experience.“
“Our family got off a cruise ship and went to Paia beach. We walked up the street and ran into artisan ice cream. We didn’t expect to buy anything, but the smell of their fresh baked cookies were amazing. We bought one cookie and shared it, then ended up buying 4 more. Family absolutely loved them. Thanks for a fun experience!!“
“I like coming to this place to get gelato. But I feel that if you are not a tourist or if you are not visiting once a week or more, I don't get it knowledge I don't feel welcome. Gelato always tastes good, and I like it because there are exotic local fruitation flavors to choose from, like passion orange guava and lilikoi. This place is very clean and they have a waste basket so you don't have to throw your opala outside. So I'm giving this place a four star because I really like it. I really love the flavors. I didn't give them the five stars because of service to the locals.“
“This is a must when I visit my family in Maui. In November they were closed but I was able to get my fill on Friday. Cash Only, Be prepared to take cash. Prices went up but still a reasonable cost. 3 scoops for about $3.50. Family owned business and the service is always so nice. Be prepared to stand in line by family outside. Which is good for a small business.“
“Friendly staff, greeting you with warm Aloha and smiles, whether you Local or not. Sweet quotes and sayings framed around this little country restaurant. And local music playing in the background, is just a nice addition to start your Sunday morning ?Local breakfast menu and salads, delicious and generous portions. It's wonderful to see even saimin on the menu, which I'll try next time. They have plate lunches and sandwiches. They have every kine of item to satisfy your opu (tummy).Thank you Ohana Grindz. Visit you again ?“
“Must-stop for this amazing coconut DF ice cream! We stayed in an Airbnb really close to this place and consequently got ice cream for 3 days in a row- it's that good. We tried all the flavors and I loved the Love Potion (mostly chocolate with some other flavors like rose and cinnamon) and the lilikoi (passion fruit)- all very refreshing! They also have other treats, but we stuck with the ice cream. Yes it's $8 for a small bowl with 2 flavors- but so worth it. My husband said "take my money" haha. And the staff were so friendly! Wish we could get it on the mainland. Will be dreaming about this ice cream!“
“Such a cute ice cream spot for your little ones or a hot day. Come on down and have some fun. Lots of flavors to choose from and a really nice and friendly owner! You can also host your birthday party here! Inquire within for more information. A special whole in the wall that everyone needs to come and see. Owner is really nice and funny especially he's good with kids! Support a local family business!“
“This is an absolute must-stop for anyone taking the road to Hana! All ice cream is gluten free and vegan. I had a scoop of pineapple banana and a scoop of the flavor of the day, which was vanilla with dried rose petals and cacao chips. It was completely unique and absolutely splendid. I also got a coconut to drink from and she cut it open when I was finished so I could eat the meat. The lady working that day was super friendly and the whole place had a great vibe. And if that wasn't good enough, I got to enjoy my dessert with the company of Sergeant Butterscotch, a local cat who hangs around the shop. Very sweet boy.Vegetarian options: The ice cream is all made with coconut milk and therefore completely vegan!Dietary restrictions: All ice cream is gluten free unless they've introduced a new flavor since I wrote this. You can always just ask - the lady at the counter was very helpful!“
